Long life=complete lie and no replacement bulbs.DeborahPurchased 11 of these in late 2021/early 2022 to use in various rooms. It is now 2026-4 years later-and all 11 are so dim they are useless, I have nightlights that put out more light. There are no replacement bulbs since the light is supposed to be long life: 'The light source has a lifetime of approx. 25,000 hours. This corresponds to about 20 years if the lamp is on for 3 hours per day". Well I've used mine LESS than 3 hours a day and they didn't last 5 years. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
loosePourioI can't get it tight enough and if I do, I risk damaging the desk it's holding on to. it's portable, yeah, for sure but it's not stable enough for toddlers to use it.
Great for home officeKennyI needed specific direction lighting for my home office rather than just an overhead light. This works perfectly for my office, providing light where I need it and not an overwhelming bright glare from overhead.
Clamp-style is a desk space-saver!NormaI purchased this clamp-style vs the desktop style to save space on my small and cluttered desk, and this light is perfect! I need a lot of directional light on my handwritten journals, appointment books and keyboard and this light is just the right amount. I also love the black matte finish and the ergonomic feel of the on/off switch, it's rounded corners and contours are very well thought-out and easy on the hands. The flexible gooseneck style allows you to adjust the angle of the lighting. The light is nice and warm and not bright and harsh like some desk lamps. I love this so much that when I go back to whatever local IKEA/town that I am in, will purchase the same exact one in the event the one I have burns out. I may also experiment with TWO of these clamped to my desk to get more lighting if I need it.
not bright enough, no screws for wall attachJoanThere were no screws in the box for wall attachment. Also, the lamp is not as bright or focused as the older IKEA gooseneck model KMV-070-030-NA-1.
Defective -can’t get it exchangedJanineThe lamp flashes when I plug it in, then that’s all. I’ve tested different outlets and same result. It won’t turn on properly. I saved a few bucks buying it on clearance - the packaging was new and seemed unused- so I went for it. Hope someone helps me out with an exchange.
Love this lightMichelleI am excited about this light. I was able to remove pieces of the clamping part to make it work in the way I needed. Definitely would buy again and recommend! Good construction and versatility.

wish it was brighterAnonymous reviewerI bought this for doing jigsaw puzzles. The main reason I picked this one, is due to the clamp, I can clamp it on the edge of my puzzle board and it is mobile when I move the board from table to couch, works great for that.
Based on the other reviews though, I did think it was going to be brighter. Works fine, casts a pretty narrow light though. (too bad I can't attach an image here to show)

great hack :)WmdI just bought my 2nd lamp, I think they r great BUT
they keep sliding down. No problem just go to Home Depot and get a pack of rubber o-rings.
Remove the cord from the shaft, slide the bracket off. Then put on your rubber o-ring, run your finger on the top of the o-ring pushing it up to the desired position of the bracket. Then place your bracket on and plug the cord back into the bottom. There you go, the o-ring will rest on top of the bracket and not let the rod slide down : I used EVERBILT #45 black, you can get it at Home Depot.

Do Not BuyFangThe light bulb starts to blink like crazy after one year of light use (less than one hour per day). And there is no way to find a replacement so the entire lamp becomes trash. Do not buy this!
Great for small spaceMaryI wanted something to put on a small bedside table. This worked perfectly. I was please to see the clamp has pads so it won't damage my table.
