Baffled by positive reviews. Cannot properly anchor to wall.JeanieIs everyone else living in another dimension where studs are not 16” apart? Is this a European thing? One would logically assume that WALL CABINETS would be designed to adhere to studs. Even the instructions clearly direct you to screw directly into studs. There is no rail system that works with these. The holes are about 27” apart. And if you are lining up more than one (I bought 3 for our office) then you can only get one of the screws in a stud and the rest will be off (in drywall). And even then, you have to compromise on where you want them.
My solution was to finegal my own rail: a 6 foot 14-gauge steel strip with numerous holes, which I secured to studs and then screwed the cabinet into the other holes. I made sure to secure the cabinet screws on the bottom most edge of the holes to make their weight rest on the metal. And I used drywall anchors to further immobilize them. Ultimately this imperfect solution resulted in gaps and made things very difficult. Totally ridiculous.
