IKEA U.S. to celebrate grand opening of IKEA Rockwall on May 13

Conshohocken, PA – May 6, 2026 – IKEA U.S. is happy to announce the grand opening of its newest store, IKEA Rockwall, on May 13, 2026. This marks the fourth IKEA store in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, further expanding access to affordable, well-designed home furnishings in one of the country’s fastest-growing regions. Conveniently located along Interstate 30, IKEA Rockwall offers easy access to major highways connecting Dallas with Texarkana and Little Rock, bringing the IKEA experience closer to where people live, work and travel.

“Opening IKEA Rockwall is a big moment for us, not only because it’s our ninth store in Texas, but because it’s our first ground-up build since 2019,” said Rob Olson, interim CEO of IKEA U.S. “This milestone underscores our confidence in the future of this market and in our mission to create better everyday life at home through affordable, well-designed solutions.”

This 108,875-square-foot, single-level store features over 6,000 products and dozens of fully furnished room settings, with more than 3,800 items ready for immediate takeaway. In the central planning area, customers can receive personalized design consultations from IKEA experts for kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and small spaces. The new store will also include a Swedish Bistro, serving customer favorites like meatballs, plant balls, hot dogs and veggie dogs.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, IKEA Rockwall is LEED-certified and incorporates solar power, EV chargers, on-site recycling and native plant landscaping to conserve water. The store also features an As-is section, offering gently used and discontinued items at discounted prices, giving products a second life and helping customers furnish their homes more sustainably and affordably.

The Rockwall community is invited to join the celebration on Wednesday, May 13. As part of its commitment to being a good neighbor, IKEA Rockwall is donating $10,000 to the Children's Advocacy Center for Rockwall County. Festivities begin at 8 a.m., and customers may begin lining up 7 a.m. IKEA Rockwall grand opening hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Regular store hours will be Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

The opening is part of a broader $2.2 billion investment in the U.S., the largest in nearly 40 years, aimed at making IKEA more affordable, accessible and convenient for the many. A tenth Texas store is also planned for Webster, TX later this summer. In addition, IKEA recently opened five Plan and Order Points with Pick-up inside select Best Buy locations across Texas, further expanding access for customers across the state.
