Hej Wisconsin neighbors – IKEA Madison is coming fall 2026.

Conshohocken, PA – May 7, 2026 – IKEA U.S. is excited to announce plans for a new store in Madison, Wisconsin, scheduled to open in fall 2026. IKEA Madison will be the second IKEA store in the state, bringing the IKEA experience even closer to the many people in Wisconsin. Located in the Prairie Towne Center at 215 Junction Rd., Madison, WI 53717. IKEA Madison will make it easier and more convenient for customers in the region to access affordable, well-designed home furnishings and solutions for a better everyday life at home.

At IKEA Madison, customers can explore a 54,000 sq ft space designed to inspire and offer practical solutions for everyday living. The store will feature a variety of fully furnished room settings showcasing “local living” solutions tailored to reflect the unique needs, lifestyles, and spaces of the Madison community. 

Customers will find more than 5,000 products on display, with a curated selection of approximately 3,000 products available for immediate takeaway, including home furnishing accessories such as textiles, lighting, accent pieces, and over 130 furniture items. Larger items such as sofas and beds, as well as the full IKEA range can be conveniently ordered online or in‑store, with options for low‑cost home delivery or free pickup. at multiple convenient Madison-area pickup locations. 

IKEA Madison will also feature a planning area where customers can meet with expert IKEA planners for personalized consultations for kitchens, wardrobes, bathrooms, living room storage, and small‑space solutions.

As part of IKEA’s commitment to sustainability, the store will include a small As‑Is section, offering gently used products, discontinued items, and even more affordable furnishings giving products a second life and helping customers furnish their homes more sustainably. 

The store will also include the Swedish Deli, offering a variety of hot and cold IKEA favorites such as meatballs, plant balls, falafel balls, hot dogs, veggie dogs, cinnamon buns, and more available to enjoy in‑store or take home.

Until the store opens, customers in Madison can pick up online orders from two convenient IKEA Pick-up locations at the University Book Store on State Street and the University Book Store Distribution Center on the Beltline Highway.
