IKEA Announces Its Second Pop-Up Showroom Experience at Chicago’s Fulton Market for Design Days 2026

IKEA U.S. debuts the new MITTZON office storage system at Chicago Design Week 2026

IKEA U.S. is delighted to announce its second-ever pop-up showroom at Fulton Market Design Days 2026, June 9-11. Following this year’s Design Days, the pop-up experience, located at 1052 W Fulton Market, Chicago, IL 60607, will be open to the public by appointment only June 12-29.

Conshohocken, PA – June 1, 2026 – For the second year in a row, IKEA will return to Fulton Market Design Days to unveil future-forward office solutions while reinforcing its Democratic Design heritage at the heart of Chicago Design Week. This year, IKEA will feature a pop-up showroom experience at The Emily Hotel with immersive spaces and smart solutions creating functional, beautiful and accessible products for the many.

“We’re excited to be back at Fulton Market Design Days with a larger presence this year,” said Abbey Stark, US Home Furnishing Director. “This is a moment for IKEA to show up as a design leader and trendsetter while connecting with the design community to demonstrate how we can help businesses of all sizes create inspiring, functional spaces at an affordable price point.”

Ahead of its full global launch in Spring 2027, Design Days attendees can book a guided showroom tour for an exclusive first look at the new MITTZON office storage system, a new addition to the IKEA modular office furniture line. Designed for modern workplaces and mixed-use spaces, the MITTZON office storage system:

  • Completes the MITTZON system with seating and multifunctional storage
  • Designed for modern offices and mixed-use commercial environments
  • Integrates cable management, acoustics and modular flexibility


IKEA is also expanding the LILLESÄTER collection, a new line of modular, commercially approved soft seating. Designed for offices, hospitality and small businesses, this collection includes sofas, slipper chairs and pouffes that bring professional-grade comfort at an affordable price.

Showroom tours are available from Saturday, June 6 through Wednesday, June 10, with media and industry happy hours taking place on June 8 and 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. The showroom hours will be as follows: Preview days, Saturday and Sunday by appointment only - Monday and Tuesday 9am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-3pm.
