Hej DMV Neighbors! IKEA is opening a new format store in Annapolis – bringing a total of four new locations to the area

IKEA U.S announced plans to open an IKEA Plan & order point with Pick-up in Annapolis, MD, in late 2023.

Conshohocken, PA – [September 28, 2023] – Today, IKEA U.S. announced plans to open an IKEA Plan & order point with Pick-up in Annapolis, MD, in late 2023. This new type of customer meeting point will offer home furnishing inspiration and personalized interior design planning, plus include an IKEA Pick-up point, allowing customers to pick up their purchases made online or purchased at the Plan & order point location. Purchases made at IKEA Annapolis can also be arranged to be transported to a customer’s home or to another convenient point of delivery.

Whether you want to meet with an IKEA design specialist to transform your space or are simply looking for home furnishing inspiration, the IKEA Annapolis Plan & order point with Pick-up is a more accessible store format and meets our customers where they are and how they like to shop,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO & Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA U.S.

IKEA Annapolis Plan & order point with Pick-up joins new IKEA format stores in Arlington and Fairfax, VA, and Gaithersburg, MD, in addition to the large-format IKEA stores in Woodbridge, VA, and College Park, MD. IKEA Annapolis will be located in the Annapolis Harbour Center shopping center at 2512 A Solomons Island Road in 3,219 square feet of leased space.

In addition to opening new Plan & order points and Pick-up locations in city centers, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to enhance its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including its first-ever Buy Now, Pay Later program in partnership with Afterpay, new IKEA Family benefits, IKEA Business Network loyalty program, lower priced shipping and delivery, Click & collect, and TaskRabbit assembly services.
