Q. Is my IKEA Family account different from other IKEA accounts I've created online?

A. Your IKEA Family and IKEA Home Shopping accounts are slightly different, but use the same log in information. If you have not logged into your accounts recently, you may be prompted to reset your password. An IKEA Family account is different from a basic IKEA account since IKEA Family is a free loyalty program that provides discounts, rewards, access to special events to the members.

Q. How do I reset my IKEA Family password?

A. If you need to reset your password, please visit http://www.ikea.com/en/us/profile and select Forgot Password.

Q. What benefits are included with my IKEA Family membership?
A. IKEA Family is for everyone. Whether your home is already your passion or you’re just starting out and need a helping hand. As a member, you receive benefits, rewards and a few surprises along the way. Because we know it’s nice to feel appreciated.

  • Member discounts. Because you deserve more. As a member you receive special discounts on products in the IKEA range. Look out for the blue IKEA Family labels in store and online. That’s the real deal.

  • Free hot drink. Every time you visit. We like to treat our members like family. So, next time you swing by, make yourself at home and enjoy a free hot drink in our restaurant.

  • Price Protection. So you don't miss out on offers. When you scan your IKEA Family card at checkout, you activate our 90-Day price protection benefit. If a product you buy using your card goes on sale within 90 days of your purchase, simply bring in your receipt and we’ll refund the difference. *90-Day Price Protection is only available for product purchases. Service purchases are excluded from this benefit. See Details

  • Monthly chances to win. When you shop with us, you get entered to win a $100 IKEA gift card every month. All you have to do is check in at an IKEA store kiosk or scan your card when you checkout. You can also play the Spin to Win game at the IKEA Planning Studio where you can also enter to win.

Q. What is 90 day price protection and how do I use it?
A.
When you scan your IKEA Family card at checkout, you activate our 90-Day price protection benefit. If a product you buy using your card goes on sale within 90 days of your purchase, simply bring in your receipt and we’ll refund the difference. *90-Day Price Protection is only available for product purchases. Service purchases are excluded from this benefit.

Your original receipt must show that you scanned your IKEA Family card at the time of purchase.

Q. How do I redeem my IKEA Family coupons?
A.
For the discount to be applied, you must scan both your IKEA Family card and the coupon at checkout in-store.

Q. Can my IKEA Family coupons be used online?
A.
Unfortunately, at this time, IKEA Family coupons cannot be used online. IKEA Family coupons are valid for in-store use only.

Q. Will I earn points or rebates through my IKEA Family membership?
A. Instead of collecting points or rebates, you'll enjoy great offers, sweepstakes entries and free coffee or hot tea just by scanning your card. Most of our offers and rewards are communicated through email so please ensure you're opted in to receive communications from us.

Q. What do I do if I deleted/lost my birthday reward?
A.
We’re so sorry you’ve misplaced your reward! To make sure you don’t lose other special rewards, we recommend adding your personalized coupons and rewards to your mobile digital wallet. To add a coupon to your wallet, click the Add to Wallet buttons at the bottom of the IKEA Family email. We are not able to replace lost coupons at this time.

Q. Where can I use my IKEA Family Card?
A.
You can use your card at any IKEA store location or on IKEA.com. Be sure to scan your card at checkout every time you visit. That way, you'll get member pricing on discounted items.

Q. Should I use my IKEA Family card even when I'm not buying discounted products?
A.
Yes, you should always use your IKEA Family card, no matter what IKEA products you're buying. Here's why:

  • You'll be entered into the monthly drawing for a $100 IKEA gift card
  • You'll help us get to know you better and learn about the things you love!
  • You can take advantage of the 90-day price protection benefit. If any of the items you've bought go on sale within 90 days of your purchase, you are eligible for a refund of the difference.
  • · Your purchases will be added to your Purchase History, so when you can't remember the name of that product you bought 6 months ago, we've saved it for you!

Q. How will I know if I've won the monthly sweepstakes?
A.
If you won the sweepstakes, we’ll send you an email with details. So make sure you are opted in to receive communications from us.

Q. Who can join IKEA Family?
A.
Anyone over the age of 18 and has a valid email address can join IKEA Family. And it's free!

Q. How do I make changes to my IKEA Family account?
A.
Once you log in, you can update details such as name, address, preferred store and communication preferences on the 'My Account' page.

Q. How do I sign up for an IKEA Family workshop or event?
A.
At the top of the IKEA Family webpage, you can click See Local Events to learn what is happening at your local store. You must be an IKEA Family member to sign up for our workshops. If you are not a member, you can sign up for IKEA Family free on the IKEA Family homepage.

Q. Where do I find the current IKEA Family offers?
A.
You can always see the latest IKEA Family offers on the offers page or in your local IKEA store. Look out for the blue IKEA Family labels in store. That’s the real deal!

Card questions

Q. I've lost or broken my card. How do I get a replacement?
A.
You have a few options:

  • If you would like a digital card, you can add your IKEA Family card to your Apple or Android mobile wallet from any IKEA Family email
  • Visit www.ikea-usa.com/lookup, enter the requested information and you'll receive a digital version of your card that you can add to your mobile wallet.
  • Stop by one of the IKEA Family kiosks in store. Log in and select the option to have your card sent to you via text or email.

Q. My card was lost or stolen. What should I do?
A.
Don't worry! There's absolutely no risk of someone accessing your personal details if they have your IKEA Family Card. No one can access your IKEA Family account with just an account number. To get a replacement digital card save your card to your Apple or Android mobile wallet, from an IKEA Family email

Q. Can my spouse or partner have a card on my account?
A.
No, the IKEA Family Card is personal to you. Your spouse or partner can enjoy the benefits of membership with their own account.

Q. Is my IKEA Family card the same as the IKEA visa credit card or IKEA projekt credit card?
A.
No, IKEA Family is a loyalty card only. If you are interested in applying for either card, more information can be found here.

Q. Can the cashier look up my IKEA Family card number at the checkout using my phone number?A. Unfortunately, the cashiers cannot look up your information at this time. However, you have a few options:

  • Your IKEA Family card is at the bottom of all IKEA emails. The cashier can scan the barcode from your phone. You can also add it to your Apple or Android mobile wallet from our IKEA Family email and show the cashier your digital card.
  • Visit www.ikea-usa.com/lookup on a mobile device or scan a QR code at checkout, enter the requested information, and you'll receive a digital version of your card that you can add to your mobile wallet.
  • Stop by one of the IKEA Family kiosks in store. Log in and select the option to have your card sent to you via text or email.

Q. Does it matter that the number on my digital card is different than the physical one?
A.
No it doesn't matter! IKEA Family accounts are designed to allow more than one card number to be registered to a single email address. While your virtual and physical card numbers may be different, they are both linked back to your singular account registered under your email address.

Q. Are my details passed on to third parties?
A.

Q. How do I change my personal details (i.e. if I move to a new home or change my email address)?
A.
To change your personal details, simply log into the IKEA Family webpage. From there, you are able update your personal details as well as change or update your communication preferences.

Q. I no longer want to be in the IKEA Family program, how do I cancel my account?
A.
We’re sorry to see you go! You may delete your IKEA loyalty profile at any point from the IKEA Family Account page. This will delete your profile and the information associated with it.
