Does IKEA accept Afterpay as a method of payment?

Starting September 19, 2023, IKEA customers will now have the option of using Afterpay as a method of payment, both online and in our store locations.

Afterpay is a great solution for people who don’t want or don’t qualify for a traditional credit card because no hard credit checks are required. Customers will be able to use Afterpay in our stores and online for purchases made between $40 - $500.

How it works

With Afterpay, customers will pay in four installments of 25%. The first installment is due on the day of purchase, and the remaining three installments are due every two weeks. There are no fees when payments are made on time.

For in-store purchases, shoppers will need to download the Afterpay app from the App Store or Google Play. After a one-time set-up in the app, Afterpay is ready to use. At checkout, a customer will be able to simply tap their phone and select Afterpay from their digital wallet.

For online use, customers will be given the option to use Afterpay as a payment option at checkout.
