OverpricedAlexandraPurchased 8/29/25 for $428.40. It’s held up well over the past year. Base has some good weight but the top is very light and not durable. Does not feel like a butcher block or the have the weight of a thick table upper. It is aesthetic but I would not pay over $450 for this. The fact it is now $700 is criminal.

Cheap materialsKellyI was so excited to receive this piece as it perfectly fits in my small apartment. I was disappointed to see that the butcher block has a chip in it an a few other pieces have chips/knicks. I don’t live super close to an ikea so we are going to keep. For the price of the piece I would hope for higher quality.

This was the perfect height and depth to add a little more room and style. If I had more room I would buy another but not sure if I’d buy it at the $699 price.

The Dream Island of VadholmaTheresaWe visited IKEA in search of a stand alone island. I lucked out finding this beauty at the end of the show floor complete with overhead rack for pots and pans. It is a separate piece you can purchase but we did not need it. The island is a perfect 47x35 that has a thick wood veneer top in oak. It requires assembly of the top, sides and slotted shelves and takes about an hour. It comes in two flat boxes that will fit in SUV.
The shelves hold pots and pans and some life will fit into the slots to stand up. It held all of our pans, we added bins for lids and our giant 13 inch lids stand up in the slots.
The shelves and structure are wood or MDF.
It allows two stools to be slid under the non shelf side providing us seating again in our kitchen. The top requires butcher block wood oil to seal it and protect it from moisture. I am delighted with the sturdiness, look and versatility of the island. It moves around easily. The price perfect and thrilled with the quality snd look.

Worst installation everSteven`Spent 2 hours trying to get the rack on this thing. The stud screws that come through are about 1/4 inch to high in the hole. Going now to get a drill to cut on this cabinet to make it work. First problem I've ever had with Ikea and it's enough to ensure I'll never be in one of your stores again. Peace.
