THE IKEA 2024 GRADUATION BASH TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”) CAREFULLY. IKEA  AND/OR EACH PARTICIPATING STORE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OR MODIFY THIS EVENT AT ANY TIME. THIS MEANS THAT YOUR RIGHT TO EARN OR REDEEM REWARDS MAY BE TERMINATED OR MODIFIED AT ANY TIME. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE IKEA 2024 GRADUATION BASH. By participating in the IKEA 2024 Graduation Bash, you agree to the following Terms.  

  1. Overview of the IKEA 2024 Graduation Bash 
       1.1.
    The IKEA 2024 Graduation Bash (the “Event”) is a day organized by IKEA US Retail, LLC (“IKEA” or “we”) in which graduating high school seniors (“Participants”) can participate in a series of activities at participating U.S. IKEA stores, excluding IKEA San Francisco, IKEA Arcadia Planning Studio, IKEA Long Beach Planning Studio, and IKEA Plan and order points (collectively, “Participating Store(s)”). For a list of U.S. stores, please visit https://www.ikea.com/us/en/stores/.
       1.2. These Terms and the Event are subject to the IKEA Privacy Policy found at https://www.ikea.com/us/en/customer-service/privacy-policy/ (the “Privacy Policy”). Participation in the Event constitutes your acceptance of our Privacy Policy and your full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions. 
  2. Eligibility
    The Event is open to Participants who are (i) legal residents of the United States (and the District of Columbia), who are between the age of seventeen to nineteen (17 – 19) years of age at the time of the Event, and (ii) current high school seniors and/or high school graduates. Void where prohibited by law. The Event is not targeted toward, not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 17. If Participant is under the age of majority in the state in which Participant lives or participate in the Event, Participant represents and warrants to have their parent or legal guardian authorize Participant to participate in the Event. Verification of high school status and/or graduation includes, but is not limited to, proof of current high school ID, driver’s license, a photo of the Participant at their high school graduation, or other forms of proof subject to IKEA’s sole discretion.  
  3. Participation in the Event 
       
    3.1 To participate in the Event, visit a Participating Store on June 22, 2024 during local business hours of operation and show your proof of eligibility at the welcome table at the respective store. Upon verification of eligibility, you shall receive four (4) tickets, each specific to a particular Activity (as defined below): one (1) ticket for the IKEA Bistro, one (1) ticket for the FRAKTA Bag Game, one (1) ticket for the LACK Table Assembly Race, and one (1) ticket for the Food Raffle (each, a “Ticket”) which can be used for the below-listed events, activities, and/or giveaways (each, an “Activity”) as set forth on each Ticket. Tickets cannot be used online, substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash. IKEA is not responsible for lost, late, intercepted, or Tickets otherwise not received. Activities are open solely to eligible Participants. Upon leaving the Event and Participating Store, eligible Participants will be provided one (1) gift bag upon their exit.   
        3.1.1
    IKEA Bistro. Visit an IKEA Swedish Restaurant at a Participating Store during the Event, present a Ticket, and redeem one (1) free hot dog while supplies last. Offer valid only for the following menu items: plant dog, veggie dog, traditional hotdog. Limit: one (1) hot dog per Ticket, per Participant.   
         3.1.2
    FRAKTA Bag Game. During the Event, Participants can choose to participate in the FRAKTA Bag Game (the “Game”). To participate in the Game, enter one (1) Ticket into the designated raffle for a chance to be selected to participate in the Game. Entry will be open during the following local times:

Approx. 2:05 pm 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Approx. 4:05 pm 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

At the end of each Game Raffle Period, IKEA staff will randomly select and announce up to a total of five (5) Participants from among all eligible Tickets received during each Game Raffle Period. Participants must be present at the end of the Game Raffle Period for the drawing and Participant announcement.  IKEA shall have no liability for any winner announcement not received or heard by a potential Game Participant for any reason. If a potential Game Participant does not respond, such potential Game Participant will forfeit their chance to participate in the Game and an alternate Participant may be announced. IKEA staff may, in its sole discretion attempt to announce up to three (3) alternate potential Participants for a chance to participate in the Game in accordance with the above procedure, after which the chance to participate in the Game and receive any FRAKTA Bag Game Prize(s) (as defined below) may go unawarded if either remains unclaimed. The remaining Tickets for each Race Time shall be discarded after the announcement of the Participants for the respective Race Time. Limit: One (1) entry per Ticket, per Participant.  The first Participant to fill their FRAKTA bag during each Game Time drew with the IKEA-provided list of products will receive their FRAKTA bag along with all the items the Participant collected in accordance with the IKEA-provided list of products. Participants will have ninety (90) minutes to complete the Game unless otherwise decided by the Participating Store. The remaining Participants of the Game will be awarded with one item from their FRAKTA bag of their choosing which has been collected in accordance with the Game. Items won by Participants through the Game shall be referred to as the “FRAKTA Bag Game Prize(s)”. The remaining FRAKTA Bag Game Prize(s) will not be awarded in the event less than five (5) Participants play each Game Time. If there are less than two Game Participants who respond to participate in a Game overall, the Game for that schedule time period may be cancelled at IKEA’s sole discretion. Items collected, but not listed in the IKEA-provided list of products, cannot be awarded and must be returned to IKEA. Total ARV of each winner: $46.00. Total ARV of each non-winning Game Participant: $00.59 - $5.99. Odds of being selected in the raffle depend on the total number of eligible Tickets received during the Race Raffle Period during the Event at each respective Participating Store.  

    3.1.3 LACK Table Assembly Race. There will be a total of three (3) LACK Table Assembly Races (each, a “Race”) during the Event at each Participating Store. To enter the Race, enter one (1) Ticket into the designated raffle for a chance to be selected to participate in the Race. Entry will be open during the following Race Raffle Period window at local times:

At the end of each Race Raffle Period, IKEA staff will randomly select and announce up to six (6) Race Participants from among all eligible Tickets received during each Race Raffle Period.  Participants must be present at the LACK Table Assembly Race station at the end of the Race Raffle Period for the drawing and Race Participant announcement(s). IKEA shall have no liability for any announcement not received or heard by a potential Race participant for any reason.  If a potential Race Participant does not respond, such potential Race Participant will forfeit their chance to participate in the Race and an alternate Participant may be announced. IKEA staff may, in its sole discretion attempt to announce up to three (3) potential alternate Race participants in accordance with the above procedure, after which the chance to participate in the respective Race may go unawarded if it remains unclaimed. The remaining Tickets for each Race Raffle Period shall be discarded after the selection and confirmation of the Participants for the Race. Race participants will be tasked with assembling one (1) LACK Table (305.147.91) during the Race. The Participant who assembles the LACK Table first during the allotted time available during the Race shall be deemed the winner, subject to the IKEA staff’s sole discretion.  Limit: One (1) entry per Ticket, per Participant. Participants cannot participate in more than one Race. One (1) prize will be awarded for each respective Race, for a total of three (3) prizes. The winner will receive one (1) twenty-dollar ($20) IKEA Gift Card (“LACK Table Prize”). ARV of each prize: $20. Total ARV of all prizes to be awarded per Participating Store: $60. Each Race will be limited to a maximum of six (6) players. If there are less than two Race participants who respond to participate in a Race overall, the Race for that schedule time period may be cancelled at IKEA’s sole discretion.  All Race Participants shall be awarded their LACK table used for assembly during their respective Race; ARV of table $9.99. Odds of being selected in the raffle depend on the total number of eligible Tickets received during the Race Raffle Period during the Event at each respective Participating Store.  

     3.1.4 Scavenger Hunt. During the Event, go to the designated table where scavenger hunt sheets (the “Sheet”) are available for pickup, fill out your required contact information as requested, and complete the scavenger hunt as instructed on the Sheet (“Scavenger Hunt”). Instructions for the Scavenger Hunt may vary based on Participating Store. See Sheet for details. Upon completion, return the Sheet to the designated table for review no later than 6:00 pm local time to the designated table for review. Participants who successfully complete the Scavenger Hunt will receive one (1) BÄSTIS Lint Roller (904.256.26) while supplies last (“Scavenger Hunt Prize”). ARV of each lint roller is $00.59. Participants cannot participate in more than one Scavenger Hunt.  

     3.1.5 Food Raffle. There will be a total of four (4) food raffles (each, a “Food Raffle”) during the Event. To enter the Food Raffle, submit one (1) Ticket into the designated raffle for a chance to win (i) two (2) LATTLAGA Frozen dinners (ARV $6.49); (ii) one (1) FRAKTA cooler bag 504.503.78 (ARV $2.99); (iii) one (1) PRICKIG Microwave lid 701.860.90 (ARV $0.99); and (iv) one (1) FINSKUREN travel flatware set 205.179.50 (ARV $5.99) (collectively, the “Food Raffle Prize”). Entry will be open during the following local times:

On or around each Food Raffle Time, IKEA staff will randomly select and announce a total of one (1) winner from among all eligible Tickets received during each Food Raffle Period. The remaining Tickets for each Food Raffle Schedule shall be discarded after the announcement of the winner. Limit: One (1) entry per Ticket, per Participant. Each Participant is limited to a total of one (1) Food Raffle Prize. Participants must be present at the Event at the time of each Food Raffle Time for the winner announcement(s). IKEA shall have no liability for any winner announcement not received or heard by a potential winner for any reason. If, despite reasonable efforts, a potential winner does not respond, such potential winner will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be announced. IKEA staff may, in its sole discretion attempt to announce up to three (3) alternate potential winners in accordance with the above procedure, after which the Food Raffle Prize may go unawarded if it remains unclaimed.  

4. Prize
       4.1
The FRAKFTA Bag Game Prize, Lack Table Prize, Scavenger Hunt Prize, and Food Raffle Prize, and any other items awarded for participation in any of the Activities or the Event shall collectively be referred to as, ”Prize.” 

       4.2 All costs and expenses not set forth as part of the Prize shall be the sole responsibility of each Prize winner. Unclaimed Prizes will not be awarded. Terms and conditions of gift card apply; see gift card for details. The winner may not substitute, assign, or transfer the Prize or redeem the prize for cash, but IKEA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute the Prize with one of comparable or greater value. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, by IKEA.  No returns/exchanges.  Prizes will be awarded during the Event, unless otherwise instructed by IKEA.  IKEA is not responsible for lost, late, intercepted, or Prizes otherwise not received. IKEA may replace lost, late, intercepted or Prizes otherwise not received at its sole discretion. If any potential Participant is found to be ineligible, or if they have not complied with these Terms or declines the Prize for any reason, such Prize will be forfeited, and an alternate Participant may be selected.  

      4.3 Odds of being selected to participate in an Activity or otherwise be awarded a Prize depends on the type of Activity and number of eligible Tickets received during each Activity and the number of Participants in each Activity.  

5. General. 
        5.1
Any valuation of a Prize is based on available information provided to IKEA. The winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes.  You must contact your own tax advisor for any questions concerning taxes. 

       5.2 Failure to provide any requested information to verify eligibility, and/or non-compliance with these Terms may result in forfeiture of any Prize and alternate winner(s) may be selected. Each potential Prize winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where permitted by law, Publicity Release.  

       5.3 No cash equivalents, substitutions or transfer of the Prize is permitted.  If a Prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, IKEA reserves the right to substitute Prize with another prize of equal or greater value.  Acceptance of a Prize shall be construed as and signify the winner’s agreement and consent that IKEA may use the winner’s name, portrait, picture, biographical information, voice, likeness, statements, photograph and/or Prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes in any and all media now known or developed in the future, throughout the world in perpetuity without further consideration, review, approval or payment, unless prohibited by law. 

       5.4 By participating in the Event or any Activity, Participants and winners hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Released Parties (defined below). You hereby further release and agree to hold harmless employees of IKEA North America Services, IKEA US RETAIL LLC, the Participating Store(s), their parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, advertising and Event agencies, their respective parent companies, affiliates, directors, employees, officers and agents (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability, fines, suits, proceedings, claims, demands, actions, injury, loss or damage of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury or death, arising from or in connection with participation in the Event, Activity, or the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any Prize and/or with respect to participation in any Prize-related activity, or negligence, intentional act(s) or omission(s), arising from your participation in the Event or any Activity.  IKEA is not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing, offering, announcement or administration of the Event or Activity. By participating in the Event or any Activity, Participants agree to be bound by the Terms and the decisions of IKEA, which are final and binding in all respects.  

6. Limitations of Liability. 

IKEA is not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Participants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Event or any Activity; (b) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or technological/network hardware or software; (c) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Event or any Activity; (d) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Event, any Activity, or the processing of any entries or Tickets; or (e) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Participant’s participation in the Event, any Activity, or receipt or use or misuse of any Prize.  No more than the stated number of Prizes will be awarded.  Caution: Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Event or any Activity is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made; IKEA reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.  IKEA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and all of their Tickets) who tampers with the Event or any Activity.   

7. Assumption of Risk 

By participating in the Event or any Activity, you understand that certain inherent risks cannot be eliminated and that there is an inherent risk of injury, including slips and falls, should you choose to participate in this Event or any Activity. You further acknowledge and agree that your participation in the Event, Activity, or any Event activities is voluntary and willful in all respects, and that by participating, you assume all risks of injury, death, illness, damages, or any loss that may result from your participation.  

8. Fitness to Participate 

Before you undertake any physical activity, performance, or participate in the Event, Activity, or any Event activities, you certify that you are specifically authorized to participate, are in good health, and are in sufficient physical condition to safely participate.  

9. Sufficiency of Consideration 

IKEA and you mutually agree and acknowledge that the making available of this Event, and by further participating in the Event or Activities, IKEA provides good and sufficient consideration for every promise, duty, release, and obligation contained in these Terms.  

10. Disputes

By participating in the Event or any Activity, Participants agree that any disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Event, any Activity, or any Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any class action and all claims, awards and judgments shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participation in the Event , but in no event attorneys’ fees. No Participant is permitted to obtain any award for, and waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the validity, construction, and enforceability of these Terms, or the rights and obligations of the Participants and IKEA in connection with the Event, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In addition, any dispute relating to the Event or Terms shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court having jurisdiction over the subject matter located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Participants hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have.  

11. Privacy. 

      11.1 For information about how IKEA uses your personal information, please see our privacy policy, located at https://www.ikea.com/us/en/customer-service/privacy-policy/ If you are selected as a winner in any component of the Event or Activity, your information may also be included in a publicly-available winner’s list.  

12. Winner's List. 

       12.1 For names of the winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: THE IKEA 2024 GRADUATION BASH – Winner’s List, c/o IKEA Conshohocken, 420 Alan Wood Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428.  Requests for a winner’s list for the following Activities must be received ninety (90) days after the winners of the Event are chosen: FRAKTA Bag Game, LACK Table Assembly Race, Food Raffle.
