THE 2024 IKEA NY & NJ DORM ROOM SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR PLAY IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW.

1. DESCRIPTION: The 2024 IKEA NY & NJ Dorm Room Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on May 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on June 8, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET.  (“Sweepstakes Period”).  One (1) potential Prize (as defined below) winner will be randomly drawn from all eligible Entrants for each of the following IKEA stores: IKEA Brooklyn, IKEA Paramus, IKEA Elizabeth, and IKEA Long Island (each a “Participating Store”).  By participating in the Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees to comply with and abide by these official rules and the decisions of IKEA US RETAIL LLC, 420 Alan Wood Road, Conshohocken, PA 19428 (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all respects.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (excluding Florida) and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age (nineteen (19) in AL and NE), or older at time of entry and are, i) registered members in good standing of the IKEA Family program at the time of entry, and ii) a college student at the time of entry, possessing a valid student identification card or a college acceptance letter.  You can obtain an IKEA Family membership free of charge by signing up for the program at https://www.ikea.com/us/en/ikea-family or by visiting a participating store.  Employees of Sponsor, the Participating Stores, contractors, directors and officers of Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, and advertising, Sweepstakes agencies and all other service agencies involved with the Sweepstakes (collectively, “Sweepstakes Entities”) and members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouse) and the household of each such employee are not eligible to participate.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.  Void where prohibited.
3. HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES: To enter, i) visit a Participating Store between applicable store business hours during the Sweepstakes Period; ii) go to the in-store signage of the Sweepstakes, which will be in a designated location within the store; iii) scan the QR code; and iv) input your IKEA Family member number and fill out the entry form, including the required contact information (“Entrant”).  LIMIT: ONE (1) ENTRY PER IKEA FAMILY NUMBER.  Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate, or illegible entry information.  Those who do not follow all of these instructions or abide by these Official Rules or other instructions of Sponsor may be disqualified.  In the event more than one (1) entry is received from any one (1) IKEA Family number, the first entry processed will be considered the only valid entry received and all additional entries will be void.  Entrants may not create additional IKEA Family Program memberships for additional entries.  Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late or invalid entries, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind, whether mechanical, human or electronic. 
4. WINNER SELECTION: On or around June 10, 2024 through June 14, 2024, Sponsor will randomly select one (1) potential winner per Participating Store (four (4) total winners) from among the eligible entries submitted during the Sweepstakes Period.  
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Sponsor will notify each potential winner by email provided during entry or otherwise linked to their IKEA Family account.  There will be a total of one (1) potential winner per Participating Store.  Potential winners are subject to verification of eligibility.  If a potential winner is found not to be eligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, or if Prize notification or any Prize is returned as undeliverable, or if potential winner cannot collect Prize within five (5) business days, the potential winner(s) will be disqualified.  In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Prize to an alternate Entrant who will also be selected randomly, even if the disqualified potential winner’s name may have been publicly announced.  Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may attempt to contact up to three (3) potential winners of a Prize in accordance with the above procedure, after which the Prize in question may go unawarded if it remains unclaimed.
   
   Sponsor is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address, and/or telephone number of Entrants.  Should multiple users of the same e-mail account enter the Sweepstakes and a dispute thereafter arise regarding the identity of the Entrant, the authorized account holder of said e-mail account at the time of entry will be considered the Entrant.  “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
6. PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV)/ODDS: Four (4) total Prizes will be awarded in this Sweepstakes.  There will be one (1) winner per Participating Store, and each will receive one (1) $1,000 IKEA Physical Gift Card and one (1) hour interior single-room design consulting session (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $1,000 + $99 (interior design service) (“Prize”), total ARV of all Prizes: $4,396).  Interior design consultation must be redeemed by December 31, 2024 or is deemed forfeited.
   
   LIMIT: One Prize per winner per Participating Store.  Prize is subject to terms and conditions.  Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on the Prize.  Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, by Sponsor.  No returns/exchanges.  Prize is valid in IKEA US stores only.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received per Participating Store during the Sweepstakes Period.
7. GENERAL: Failure to provide any requested information to verify eligibility, and/or non-compliance with these Official Rules may result in forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate winner may be selected.  Each potential Prize winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where permitted by law, Publicity Release. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes should fraud, virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the game. 
   
   No cash equivalents, substitutions or transfer of the Prize is permitted.  If a Prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute Prize with another prize of equal or greater value.  Acceptance of a Prize shall be construed as and signify the winner’s agreement and consent that Sponsor may use the winner’s name, portrait, picture, biographical information, voice, likeness, statements, photograph and/or Prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes in any and all media now known or developed in the future, throughout the world in perpetuity without further consideration, review, approval or payment, unless prohibited by law.
   
   By participating, Entrants and winner releases and agrees to hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities, their respective parent companies, affiliates, directors, employees, officers and agents from any and all liability, injury, loss or damage of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury or death, arising from or in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes, or the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any Prize and/or with respect to participation in any Prize-related activity.  Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing, offering, announcement or administration of the Sweepstakes.  
8. LIMITATIONS AND RELEASES: Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (c) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (d) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (e) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any Prize.  No more than the stated number of Prizes will be awarded.  Caution: Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made; Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.  Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and all of his or her entries) who tampers with the entry process.
9. DISPUTES: By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants agree that any disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any class action and all claims, awards and judgments shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees.  No Entrant is permitted to obtain any award for, and waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages.  Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the validity, construction, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrants and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  In addition, any dispute relating to the Sweepstakes or Official Rules shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court having jurisdiction over the subject matter located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  Entrants hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have.

11. WINNER’S LIST: For name of winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The 2024 IKEA NY & NJ Dorm Room Sweepstakes [IKEA Brooklyn, IKEA Paramus, IKEA Elizabeth, and IKEA Long Island] – Winner’s List, c/o IKEA US Retail LLC located at 420 Alan Wood Road, Conshohocken, PA 19428.  Requests for a winner’s list must be received ninety (90) days after the winner of the Sweepstakes is chosen.
