How do I clean the charcoal filter in my fan?
All our charcoal filters for kitchen fans can be washed and reused. The washing instructions vary between different filters, so to see more details what the washing instructions are for your particular cooker hood, take a look at the text below.
Washing instructions for the following articles:
- NYTTIG FIL 120 with article number 004.019.55
- NYTTIG FIL 400 with article number 704.019.47
- NYTTIG FIL 440 with article number 704.019.52
- NYTTIG FIL 500 with article number 004.019.55
- NYTTIG FIL 900 with article number 604.109.57
- NYTTIG FIL 650 with article number 003.953.51
Wash in the dishwasher at a maximum of 70°C or by hand in warm water without using abrasive sponges or dish soap. Dry in the oven at a maximum of 70°C for two hours or at room temperature. The filter should be placed vertically during the drying time to facilitate drainage. The charcoal filter should be removed from the cassette it is mounted in during cleaning.
How often the filter should be cleaned with normal use?:
Approximately every three months.

You can choose to clean the grease filter in your fan either in the dishwasher or by hand. Just remember to rinse the filter well and dry it before putting it back in the fan. When cleaning in a dishwasher, the filter should not be mixed with other dishes.
