Are IKEA washing machines brushless?
The washing machines currently available in IKEA’s range are equipped with inverter motors, also known as brushless motors.
UDDARP washing machines and washer/dryer combos from 2022 onwards are equipped with an inverter motor, which is also known as brushless motor.
The inverter motor is more energy-efficient, has a longer lifespan, and operates more quietly than motors that are not brushless.
If you have a washing machine with a brushed motor, the carbon brushes may need to be replaced over time, as they are wear-and-tear components and are not covered by warranty.
This is an expense that customers are responsible to cover in the case of a need for a replacement.
To get help replacing the carbon brushes in your motor, contact the manufacturer of your appliance to purchase new brushes and to receive assistance with the service.
