Why is there a different color on the same BILLY product?

Due to the aging of the product, it may darken in appearance. Or can the product be bleached most of the years when it is in sunlight. This, in turn, can create color differences when any part is replaced.

If you experience different shades on your new BILLY compared to the old one, it is not a product defect. Wood is a living material and that means that veneer and solid wood darken over the years, fade in sunlight and more, which is completely natural! It doesn't matter what type of wood it is, the process is the same. Even if you have chosen a white alternative by BILLY, there will in some probability be color differences when you add a new shelf or new doors to an older bookcase.
