What do I do if I can't shop with my IKEA gift card or credit voucher?

Make sure that your gift card or credit card has enough balance. If the problem persists, you are welcome to contact IKEA Customer Service for further assistance.

  • My gift card or credit voucher doesn't have a PIN on the back 
    Older gift cards or credit vouchers don't always have a four-digit PIN on the back, which is required for online purchases.
     
  • The card number and/or PIN are no longer fully readable 
    If the card number and/or PIN code are not readable, it's unfortunately not possible to redeem the money on the card. Any gift cards damaged in this way are no longer valid as a payment method, and these cards cannot be replaced or refunded.
     
  • The balance on the gift card or credit voucher has suddenly disappeared 
    When you add your gift card or credit voucher to an order, the amount is reserved and removed from the balance. If for any reason you do not complete your order, it may take up to an hour for the reservation to be released and your balance to be restored.
Additional troubleshooting steps 
  1. In order to redeem your gift or credit voucher please check that there is enough balance and that the card details entered are correct. You can see your balance by signing in to your IKEA Family profile. Then, fill in the number on your gift card and any PIN to see the current amount.
      
  2. If your card has a balance but you're still experiencing problems, an IKEA co-worker can help you check your card's balance and status. If the card is active, valid and has enough money left, a co-worker from IKEA Customer Service help you further. If you visit an IKEA store, the staff there can also help you.
