Can I factory reset my IKEA Home Smart products?

If you need to reset any of your smart products to their original settings (factory reset), you can easily follow the steps below for the product in question – or click through to our how-to videos to see how.

Here you will find instructions on how to reset various smart products to factory settings.

Light sources (TRÅDFRI bulbs)

  1. switch the main power switch on and off six times at a steady pace.
  2. The light will then flash to confirm that the reset was successful.

Remote control, wireless dimmer or motion sensor

  1. Tap the pairing button four times within five seconds.

Gateway (TRÅDFRI)

  1. Open the lid of your TRÅDFRI gateway.
  2. Using a needle or a straightened paper clip, press into the small hole at the top of the at least 5 seconds until the LED stops flashing.

DIRIGERA hubb

  1. Turn the hub over and push a pin into the reset hole on the bottom.
  2. Press and hold the pin until the status light turns off.
  3. The center light will flash red four times when the reset is complete.
    Note: All information on the hub is deleted upon recovery.

 Smart plug

  1. Using a needle or paper clip, press into the small hole at the top of the socket in the at least 5 seconds until the LED stops flashing.

 Smart blinds

  1. Press both the up and down button simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  2. The blind will flash to confirm recovery.
    The same reset applies to all smart blinds.
