Is my data shared when I use IKEA smart products?

IKEA doesn't store or share any personal information. The only data that is shared is the necessary product information for the integration to work with, for example, Amazon, Apple or Google, such as product type, name and operating state.

With the DIRIGERA Hub, much of the information is handled directly on your own home network instead of being sent out to external servers. This means that much of the governance and data processing takes place locally, reducing the amount of data shared with third parties and creating a more private user experience.
If you choose to connect your IKEA Home smart system to other smart home platforms, such as Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa or other Matter-compatible systems, some data may be shared with these actors. However, this only happens when you enable such integrations yourself to access voice control and other features that require cross-platform communication. Please review the respective third party's terms of use and privacy policies for information about what information they receive and how it is processed.
Should you ever want to erase all data associated with your DIRIGERA, you can easily do so by factory resetting the products. This resets the system and deletes the saved information.
