Do I need a TRÅDFRI gateway or DIRIGRA hub to use SYMFONISK sound control?
To use SYMFONISK sound control, you need either the DIRIGERA hub or a TRÅDFRI gateway, as well as the IKEA Home smart app.
To use the SYMFONISK sound control, you need to connect it to one of our smart home hubs. You can use our new hub DIRIGERA, or our previous solution TRÅDFRI gateway. Once the audio control is connected to the hub, you can control your audio in a simple and intuitive way via the IKEA Home smart app, which you download to your mobile or tablet.

Please note that the TRÅDFRI gateway and SYMFONISK sound control have been discontinued from the range. You can still take part in instructional videos and support for TRÅDFRI gateway, but if you are looking for a new gateway, we recommend our latest hub instead DIRIGERA.

Yes, you can! The Sound Control works with the SYMFONISK series and all Sonos speakers. The sound control controls one speaker at a time unless the speaker is grouped with others, if it does, it controls the entire group.
