Why does the text SAFE or a padlock appear in the display on my oven?
"SAFE" or a padlock symbol appears in the display of the oven when the child safety lock is activated. You can refer to the product's user manual for more information on how to activate and deactivate the child safety lock.
You can easily make your oven child-safe by activating the child lock. When the child lock is activated, the display will show either “SAFE” or a padlock symbol.
You can find the user manual for your product by searching for the product name or article number in the search bar at the top of our website. Click on “Product information” and then “Assembly & documents” to find the manuals. If you are unsure what your oven is called or if you have an older product that is not shown on the website, you can contact us for guidance.
Keep in mind that the oven's electronic child safety lock can be activated in both switched off and in user mode. If the oven is equipped with a pyrolytic cleaning program, the door will automatically lock when using the cleaning program.
