What payment options are available when shopping at IKEA?

Whether you’re buying a new kitchen or just an IKEA hot dog, there are many ways to pay. Your preferred payment method may vary depending on where you shop and what you’re purchasing. At IKEA, you can choose from several simple, secure, and convenient payment options to complete your purchase.

Paying in an IKEA store
When shopping in a store, you can pay using the following options:
  • Card payment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Cash (There is a limit of 10,000 SEK. Please note that IKEA Gallerian and IKEA Mall of Scandinavia do not accept cash payments)
  • IKEA Finansieringslån or IKEA Delbetala
  • Klarna
  • Swish
  • Google Pay and Apple Pay
  • Gift cards and refund cards
  • Business Invoice card

Paying on IKEA.com

When shopping online, you can pay using the following options:
  • Card payment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • IKEA Finansieringslån or IKEA Delbetala
  • Klarna
  • Swish
  • Google Pay and Apple Pay
  • Gift cards and refund cards
  • Business Invoice card

Paying in the IKEA app

When shopping through our app, you can pay using the following options:
  • Card payment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • IKEA Finansieringslån or IKEA Delbetala
  • Klarna
  • Swish
  • Google Pay and Apple Pay
  • Gift cards and refund cards
Do you want to use two different payment methods for the same purchase?

To pay with two different payment methods at the same time, you need to contact IKEA Customer Service. They will help you create an order that you can then pay for through a payment portal.
Please note that it is not possible to use more than one IKEA Delbetala card for the same purchase, and that IKEA Business Invoice and Klarna cannot be combined with any other payment method.
Gift cards can only be combined with card payments, Swish, and IKEA Finansieringslån, regardless of whether you contact Customer service or place the order yourself.

What should I do if I have problems paying online?

PAYMENT FAILS

If you are trying to pay with a debit or credit card, make sure that:
  • You have entered the correct card details
  • There are sufficient funds available on the card
If the payment still does not go through, you may need to contact your bank.

MY COUPON OR DISCOUNT CODE IS NOT ACCEPTED

IKEA coupons and discount codes generally have a limited validity period. If you are unable to use your coupon or discount code, please first check that it is still valid. Some coupons and discount codes can also only be used on a selection of products, so make sure to review the terms and conditions that apply to your purchase.

PAYMENT THROUGH A LINK FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE

If you are trying to complete your payment via a link you received with your order confirmation but the attempt fails, try the following:
  • Check that the link is still valid and active
  • Try using a different browser
If the issue remains, please contact IKEA Customer Service for further assistance.
What should I do if I have problems paying through the IKEA app?
  • Card details: Make sure the card information you entered is correct.
  • Balance: Ensure that there are enough funds in your account.
  • Online purchases: Check that your card is enabled for online transactions.
  • Limit: Verify that you have not reached your card’s purchase limit for online payments.
