What should I do after a kitchen planning appointment?

You’re one step closer to your dream kitchen, and your next steps will depend on the current status of your kitchen planning. If you haven’t placed your order yet, there are several actions we recommend you take.

  1. Review your plan at home: Take some time to review the design and the product list. You can access your kitchen design at any time by logging in to our kitchen planner with the email address and password you used when saving it, or via your personal IKEA Family account. Also make sure that the measurements your design is based on are still correct and that it fits the space properly. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that every detail is right from the start.
  2. Make final adjustments (optional): If you want to explore different options, you can use your saved design in the kitchen planning tool to try out other fronts, handles, appliances or worktops and see how they affect the final price. Be sure to save your design after making any changes you wish to keep. If you’re unsure about your choices and need further support, you can always contact IKEA again by reaching out to your kitchen specialist, visiting one of our stores, or booking another kitchen planning appointment.
  3. Choose your payment method or financing for your kitchen: Once your final design is complete, decide how you would like to proceed with payment for your kitchen and any additional services. IKEA can support you with your financing needs. Make sure to discuss this with one of our kitchen specialists, they can help you find the payment option that best suits your needs, budget and location.
  4. Select additional services: Discuss your service needs with your kitchen specialist, we can support you with questions about delivery and installation. When you’re ready to move forward with your dream kitchen, the specialist can include these services and provide you with a complete price.

Please note that if you wish to book a kitchen installation, we will arrange a pre‑installation inspection in your home. Our service partner will then verify that your design aligns with the space and ensure that everything is ready for installation. This may lead to adjustments or final additions to your kitchen order after the inspection. This process helps ensure that you and your new IKEA kitchen enjoy the smoothest possible experience.
  5. Place your order: When you're ready to buy, you can book a follow-up meeting through your sales representative or our booking page on IKEA.se. We will help you make sure that your kitchen order is ready to be fulfilled.

When you’re ready to make your purchase, you can book a follow‑up appointment with your IKEA kitchen specialist or via our booking page on IKEA.se. We will help ensure that your kitchen order is fully prepared and ready to be brought to life.
