How do I saw a cover panel without it splintering?

Cut using the proper method: If you’re using a circular saw or jigsaw, cut from the back side of the panel, as chipping often occurs on the side where the blade exits the material. For a handsaw, cut slowly and with controlled force.

Pre-drill corners: If the cut includes corners or angles, pre-drill these before sawing to avoid material chipping at sharp turns.

Support the material firmly: Ensure the panel is securely positioned and well-supported during cutting to minimize vibrations that could cause chipping.
