However, often than not when frying fish, it will leave a sticky char on the surface of the non-stick, that is hard to wash off caused it sticked so hard to it.4

Solid Frying PanB.Be warned, this frying pan heats up very quickly and conducts heat very well. The non stick is impressive, I could cook an egg with almost no grease at all. All in all, a reliably good frying pan. Only thing is there's no hole in the handle to be able to hang it up as I do my other pans. However it is a small issue.5

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
