Assembly is required, and in my case, it took about an hour to complete—longer than I initially expected. The process isn’t overly difficult, but it does take some time and patience.
One thing to note is that the armrests are sold separately. When attached, they are fixed in position and not adjustable, which may not suit users looking for more ergonomic customization.
In terms of comfort, the chair is decent for everyday use. The backrest provides support up to the shoulders, but this is more suitable for smaller-built users. If you’re larger, the support may feel limited. The chair maintains a fixed L-shaped structure between the seat and backrest, even when reclining, so it doesn’t offer a more flexible or dynamic reclining posture.
The reclining spring has moderate strength—not too stiff, not too loose—making it acceptable for casual use. As for the wheels, they are supposed to include a safety brake feature that locks the chair when no one is seated. However, in my experience, this behavior is somewhat unclear—the chair appears to stay braked even when not in use, and it’s difficult to tell whether the mechanism is functioning correctly or as intended.
Overall, the FLINTAN chair delivers solid quality for its price. While it lacks advanced ergonomic features and adjustability, it’s a reliable and practical option for basic office or home use.
