A mattress protector between your sheet and mattress protects from stains and dirt and prolongs the life of your mattress.

The elastic edging all around makes sure the mattress protector stays in place and also protects the sides of your mattress.

The mattress protector is machine-washable at 60°C, a temperature that kills dust mites.

Very soft. High quality fabric.GirishI have purchased it after looking at other two reviews. Truly it is very soft.. Feels like feather. It has fit my 6 inch 6x6 feet mattress easily. I have put a cotton fabric bedsheet above this but that ruins the soft feel of this fitted sheet. I would recommend you not to put any bedsheet upon this sheet. Use it as it is- bare without a sheet upon it.5
Superb Mattress ProtectorRajanLiked the product since it provides very good padding layer. Also it has a good margin and can be wrapped around the mattress with full coverage. The quality of the material is also good, nice soft and smooth, and protects very good, especially when using over an old mattress which may have dust mites & bed bugs. Some family members would have problems using am ordinary sheet with the mattress, reported skin irritation and other problems, and all these eliminated with the use of this IKEA matress protector.5

This is a very good product to protect your mattress from dust, water spills and stains. It's easy to clean and dries off quick as well. Can't ask for more.

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
