        Japanese designer Noboru Nakamura is the man behind the successful POÄNG armchair, launched in 1977. For the Nytillverkad collection, he removed the headrest, but the comfy rocking feature is still there.

        POEM armchair, later renamed POÄNG, was shown for the first time on the cover of our 1977 catalogue. Then with a headrest.

        For the Nytillverkad collection, Noboru Nakamura removed the headrest. The look became new, compact and modern, yet the rocking feature and comfort of the layer-glued, bent wooden frame remained the same.

        The material would seem to be hardwearing, easy to clean and well made. The colour works well with the natural wood of the chair.

        I bought two and these are the go chairs for the kids. I made waterproof cushion covers which I change out and increased the value of these chairs considerably! Now these chairs are formal when needed and childproof when needed!
