With this day-bed you quickly and easily create space for overnight guests. Just pull out the bed base and you get a double bed in no time.

With some soft, fluffy pillows as back support, you easily transform this day-bed into a comfortable sofa.

The large drawers have space for extra duvets, pillows, linens or other things you need to store, but want to have close at hand.

The high frame creates a cosy cocoon feeling, and is lacquered so that it's easy to maintain.

Good to know

The daybed must be combined with two mattresses, 80x200. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.

Combines with other furniture in the HEMNES series.

Mattress and bedlinen are sold separately.

Slatted bed base is included.

The day-bed is not to be used as two single beds, it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

Good for routine use, with effort for bedding.RajeshDurable, strong bed with compatibility for variety of mattresses, and for future replacement of mattresses. However for converting into two bed, effort is required to pull or rotate top bed onto slides one and to put bed sheet properly tucked. It’s not easy as shown in product video, but it’s doable. The dimensions of bed are with tight tolerances. It’s recommended to adhere with them, when considering mattresses, as tight fit is essential for properly securing second bed, when in use.4
The best I can get for my small bedroomRahulI was looking for this product online and got a chance to review it at Bengaluru store which made me to purchase it. The parts they got delivered in was apt though while assembling Part 1 a few parts are in the Part 3 boxes. Part 2 also require parts from Part 3. They labeled each box nicely and I could assemble it by my own. Great work on the engineering drawing and step by step picture to assemble this product. Amid assembling, I found a hairline crack on one of the side but I continued. When done. I sent that picture of crack to support team and they are still reviewing it. Product is superb.5

IKEA HEMNES BEDNoorudinThis bed is challenging to assemble. Better do the assembly via IKEA vendors. They will charge you 1-2K extra but will save you a lot of hassle. I made it alone, but it fell apart, so I called the Urban team to do the assembly. It's been 5 months since I've using it and the only complaint I have is to convert the sofa into. You really need some energy to convert it. It does look sleek and saves space but given a choice, I would go for some other options. as per my use case it's a good product if you don't mind opening and closing it everyday and use it only for you guests.4

Absolutely nonsense bedAnonymous reviewerPlease be careful while buying this bed!! Converting it back from Bed to Sofa is most cumbersome task. If you have a back problems or you are too old then this bed is not for you. The issue is not while sleeping on bed or mattress but folding it back to Sofa mode. You have to literally remove both mattresses and then lift the bed to some extent up as it gets locked everytime you convert from Sofa to bed mode. Imagine you have to do this task everyday morning, would you require excercise after doing this task????1

We brought this bed at least 9 year ago and it still holds to this day! Very cool that you can pull out the bed and make it a queen. Before we moved, I slept on this bed and then I gave it to our daughter. Very nice bed.

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
