Hotel Eagles Nest – a place to relax at the Himalayan foothills​

Secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Eagles Nest is a beautiful retreat surrounded by snow-capped mountains and cedar forests on the Himalayan foothills. Spread over acres, this property is perfect to unwind and share stories not just from books but also from experiences.​The team at Eagles Nest reached out to our Interior Design team to collaborate with them. The idea was to integrate IKEA furniture with the property’s rustic interiors. The project required us to design the guest bedrooms, reception, den, dining room, and outdoor seating. From the linens to the lights.

For the den area, we choose to use armchairs with a classic expression. The focus was to create a space to unwind next to the fireplace. A comfortable sofa with generous depth and a high back is perfect to loosen up and relax.
After a long day outdoors, we used this silky-soft duvet to give a comforting hug to the guests. Sateen-woven bedlinen in lyocell/cotton is very soft and pleasant to sleep in, and has a pronounced lustre that makes it look beautiful on the bed.
Made from walnut veener, this oval table leant its warmth to tie in the room. With small details like a shelf underneath to keep newspapers, brochuers etc, this was perfect for a waiting lounge.
KORKEN series is ideal for preserving pickles and jams, serving beverages or keeping your cookies crunchy. The airtight seal locks in all the goodness. KORKEN jars are available in different sizes fitting to your everyday needs.​
The dinnerware has a simple but smart design that works for all types of food and all occasions making it perfect for guests. We complemented it with serving dishes, glasses, carafes, table linens, and cutlery from our range to create a coordinated look. ​
Made from acacia wood, this armchair was perfect to enjoy the silence of the mountains with a cup of tea and a good book. To highlight the natural expression of wood, the furniture has been pre-treated with a layer of semi-transparent wood stain. ​
Eating a meal outside heightens the moment as it is. We added this elegant slatted acacia dining table to create a natural gathering spot, complemented by chairs and warm textiles, this this setting became a perfect pleaser for anytime of the day. ​

Collaborating with Eagles Nest gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase our range in such an idealistic setting. Drawing from the warm tones of walnut, and green from the forests we designed spaces that encouraged interactions as well as small pockets of solitude. From lights to linens, we were able to fulfill the smallest needs through our range​. This project came to us just before the pandemic, and with our supply chain impacted, we fulfilled it bit by bit over 8 months. I would like to thank our backend team who patiently solved this puzzle while working with limited resources. ​
