How to create a hobby hub for the entire family.
With a hobby corner, your entire family can indulge in their hobbies, whether it is carpentry, sewing or scrapbooking, side by side. When hobby-time is over, this adaptable space can be used for other activities.

A multifunctional hobby space
It’s a wonderful thing - creating and restoring things while doing your home carpentry. But make sure to protect your existing furniture and flooring. Try investing in a floor protector before anything else. And make sure there’s plenty of room to move about
Make the most of your time
The moments where you’re indulging in a hobby are precious - don’t waste them searching for the things. Try keeping everything you need within your sight and in order. Like we have done with these wallpapers. The shoe rack is held up by hooks and goes flat against the wall when empty.
Drawer units to the rescue
Since not all your things can be hung on a pegboard, it is a good idea to complement it with a wire drawer unit. They keep your screwdrivers and other tools right where you need them for the next project. The best part? It’s easy to find what you're looking for as the toolboxes are transparent.
How about taking a break?
The truth is that hobbies, especially the bigger projects, take time. Make it easy to take a break without losing track of your work. Try fixing a towel rack to the ceiling. It gives extra space to hang items when you pause in the middle of working. Don’t forget to place it at least 30 cm from the walls to allow the hangers space.
We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
