IKEA India Private Limited ("IKEA / we / our / us") is a private limited company incorporated in India, with its registered office at Unit No. 421, DLF Tower A, Jasola District Centre, New Delhi – 110 044. Our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. To support this vision, we offer a 10-year limited warranty on the BESTÅ storage system for domestic use.

Warranty Overview

Everyday life at home places high demands on storage furniture. BESTÅ storage solutions are rigorously tested to meet IKEA’s strict standards for quality, strength, and durability under domestic conditions. Based on these tests, IKEA offers a 10-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms below.

Warranty Validity

  • The warranty is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase / delivery.
  • The original purchase receipt is needed as proof of purchase.
  • For IKEA Family members, proof of purchase is available in purchase history.
  • Applicable for domestic use only.

What Is Covered Under This Warranty

This limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship in the following BESTÅ components:

  • BESTÅ storage system frames
  •  Doors• Drawer fronts
  • Associated fittings supplied as part of the BESTÅ system


Products Not Covered Under
This WarrantyThe warranty does not apply to:

  • BESTÅ boxes
  • Drawer dividers
  •  Drawer mats

 Products bought from Circular Hub / “As-Is” section.

What IKEA Will Do to Resolve the Issue

  • IKEA will examine the product and determine whether the issue is covered under this warranty.
  • If covered, IKEA will, at its discretion:o 
  • Repair the defective product, oro Replace it with the same or a comparable product.
  • Repairs or replacements will be carried out through IKEA service operations or authorized service partners.
  •  IKEA will bear the costs of:
  • Spare parts
  •  Labour
  •  Travel for repair personnel provided the product is accessible without special expenditure.
  • Repairs not authorized by IKEA are not covered.
  • Replaced parts or products become the property of IKEA.
  •  If the product is discontinued, IKEA will offer a suitable replacement, determined in consultation with the customer.

What Is Not Covered Under This
WarrantyThis warranty does not apply in cases of:

  • Incorrect storage, assembly, or installation by the customer or non-authorized third parties.
  • Improper use, abuse, misuse, alterations, or modifications after purchase
  • Use of incorrect cleaning methods or cleaning products
  • Normal wear and tears
  •  Cuts, scratches, or damage caused by impact or accidents.
  • Products placed outdoors or in damp/humid environments (e.g., bathrooms)
  • Consequential or incidental damage

    Care & Maintenance Instructions
  • Assemble the product strictly as per the assembly instructions.
  •  For safety reasons, all BESTÅ furniture must be anchored to the wall.
  • Different wall materials require different fasteners – use suitable wall fittings.
  • Tighten screws after two weeks of use, and re-recheck a few times every year.


Cleaning instructions:

  • All surfaces (except glass): Wipe with a damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive detergent. Dry with a clean cloth.
  •  Glass surfaces: Wipe with water or glass cleaner and dry with a clean cloth.• Handle tempered glass carefully – damaged edges or scratches may cause sudden breakage (into small, blunt pieces).

    How to Avail the Warranty
  • At the time of delivery, inspect the product carefully for damages.
  • Report any transit or physical damage within 24 hours of delivery.
  • IKEA may request images or videos to assess the issue.
  • Claims reported after 24 hours for visible delivery damage may not be considered valid.
