IKEA announces recall for repair action of certain LETTAN mirrors, due to breaking wall fittings

IKEA urges all customers who own an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it, and to order replacement wall fittings free of charge.

Customer safety is always the starting point for IKEA. Therefore, we are announcing a recall for repair action on LETTAN mirrors with a date stamp below 2105 (year-week), due to risk of breaking wall fittings.

IKEA develops its products using a rigorous risk assessment and testing program, to make sure that the products live up to all applicable laws and standards on the markets where they are sold.

Despite this it has come to our attention that some of the fittings that attach LETTAN mirrors to the wall, have been breaking. This has in turn lead to some mirrors unexpectedly falling. Therefore, we urge all customers who own an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it, and to order replacement wall fittings free of charge.

IKEA is recalling ODGER swivel chair in the anthracite color with date stamps before and including 2219 due to fall and injury hazards

IKEA urges all customers who owns ODGER swivel chair in the anthracite color with date stamps before and including 2219 to stop using it and to contact IKEA for a full refund.

Customer safety is always the starting point for IKEA. Therefore, IKEA is recalling ODGER swivel chair in the anthracite color with date stamps before and including 2219 (22 stands for the year, and 19 stands for the week the product was produced) as there is a risk that the star base leg of the chairs may break and pose fall and injury hazards for the user.

IKEA is urging all customers who own an ODGER swivel chair in the anthracite color with date stamps before and including 2219 to immediately stop using it and return it to any IKEA store for a full refund.

 The name and date stamp of the product can be found underneath the seat, molded in the material of the chair.

Recall of ALLEMANSRÄTTEN vegetable balls 500 g

IKEA calls upon all customers who have purchased 500 gm retail pack/s of ALLEMANSRÄTTEN vegetable balls from our Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai retail stores only with Batch no. W22025-02, manufactured on 25-01-22 with best before date 2022-10-22, to contact us for a full refund.  

To claim a refund, please bring the proof of purchase (receipt) or you can also bring open or sealed packet/s.

The safety and quality of the food we offer is our top priority. This is a proactive & responsible step by IKEA India as a retailer to proceed with food recall notice, as it was found to have incorrect labelling of ingredients on limited packs.

IKEA is recalling METALLISK espresso maker for hob 0.4 l with the stainless steel safety valve, date stamps between 2040 and 2204, as the product can burst during use 

IKEA urges all customers who own METALLISK espresso maker for hob 0.4 l with the stainless steel safety valve, date stamps between 2040 and 2204, to stop using it and to contact IKEA for a full refund. 

Safety is a top priority for IKEA and therefore we are recalling METALLISK espresso maker with the stainless-steel safety valve, date stamps between 2040 and 2204, due to an increased risk of the product bursting during use. The risk has increased after a change of material and construction of the safety valve therefore only the products with the stainless steel safety valve (silver/grey in color), are included in the recall. No other units are affected by this recall.

IKEA is recalling HEROISK and TALRIKA plates, bowls, and mugs due to the risk of breakage and burns.

IKEA urges all customers who own HEROISK or TALRIKA plates, bowls, and mugs to stop using them and to contact IKEA for a full refund.

Safety is a top priority for IKEA and therefore we are taking precautionary measures and recalling HEROISK and TALRIKA plates, bowls, and mugs as they can break and potentially cause burns due to hot content. All our products are tested and comply with applicable standards and legislation. Despite this, we have received reports of the products breaking.

What do you need to do if you purchased the above products?

Currently, both stores are closed, and the safety of our customers continues to remain a priority.
As an exception:

  • You can scrap products at your end and send across the pictures to our customer support team at customercare.india@ikea.com and claim a full refund for the recalled products

IKEA is recalling TROLIGTVIS travel mug due to non-compliance with IKEA requirements

Product safety is of the biggest priority for IKEA. IKEA urges all customers who have a TROLIGTVIS travel mug marked Made in India to stop using it. Recent test reports show that the product may migrate levels of chemicals exceeding the prescribed limits. There are no medical issues and this is purely a proactive initiative keeping the safety of our customers in mind. Customers who purchased online will get a full refund. TROLIGTVIS travel mug has been sold since October 2019. IKEA urges customers in possession of the travel mug with marking “Made in India” to return the product to any IKEA store for a full refund. No proof of purchase, such as a receipt, is required.

IKEA is recalling GLIVARP extendable dining table due to risk of falling extension piece

IKEA urges all customers that purchased the white frosted GLIVARP extendable dining table to stop using the recalled product and contact IKEA for remedy.

IKEA has received customer reports of the extension piece in the GLIVARP extendable dining table detaching from the rails and falling.

IKEA urges all customers who own a white frosted GLIVARP table to return the product to IKEA for a full refund or a similar product. IKEA does not require any proof of purchase.

IKEA takes product safety very seriously. All our products are tested and comply with applicable standards and legislation. In spite of this we have received reports that the extension part in the GLIVARP table has fallen.

IKEA recalls CALYPSO ceiling lamp within date stamps 1625 -1744 due to the risk of falling shades.

IKEA urges all customers that purchased CALYPSO ceiling lamps after 1st of August 2016 to double check the date stamp on the product. IKEA is recalling CALYPSO ceiling lamps manufactured between and including these date stamps: (yyww) 1625 to 1744.

IKEA has received customer reports of glass shades falling and to minimize the risk to our customers IKEA is recalling CALYPSO ceiling lamps manufactured between and including these date stamps: (yyww) 1625 to 1744.

IKEA urges all customers that own a CALYPSO ceiling lamp produced within the affected date stamps to return the product to be replaced with a new CALYPSO or a full refund. IKEA does not require any proof of purchase.

IKEA takes product safety very seriously. All our products are tested and comply with applicable standards and legislation. In spite of this we have received reports that CALYPSO glass shades have fallen. In order to safeguard customers and avoid further incidents we are recalling the product for a full refund or replacement product.

Carefully pull out the movable arm.

Remove the lamp shade while you continue to hold the movable arm pulled out.
