  • To keep your sofa looking good, you should regularly flatten out creases and wrinkles with your hand.

    The velvet reflects light in a characteristic way which may make the colour appear as if it changes.

    Press marks that may appear on the velvet usually disappear after some time. With your hand, you can gently stroke in the direction of the pile or use a clothes brush. You can also use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.

    Small fibres may appear on velvet. It happens naturally and they disappear over time and can also be removed with a garment roll.

    Care

    Frame, non-removable cover

    Wet marks should always be dried off as soon as possible to stop moisture penetration.

    Remove dust with a lint remover.

    Light stains can be removed with a sponge damped in water or a mild soapy solution.

    To make sure that velvet maintains its look and feel, it needs to be cared for regularly according to the care instructions included with the product.

  • The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover's ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 25,000 cycles. A cover that withstands 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture that should withstand everyday use in the home.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Material

Velvet

Velvet is made using a traditional weaving technique, which gives the fabric a dense pile that reflects light and gives a fine lustre with a slightly shiny look. Thanks to the dense pile, the colour looks deep and warm ‒ and the fabric feels cosy and soft against the skin. These qualities have contributed to velvet’s association with luxury. At the same time, it is a material that, if correctly cared for, withstands wear ‒ and that’s why it’s ideal for home furnishing.
