Does IKEA offer an assembly service and how much does it cost?

Would you like to have your IKEA products assembled? IKEA offers various assembly services for this purpose. Depending on the product, assembly is carried out either by our partner Taskrabbit or by specialized service partners. This allows you to decide for yourself whether you want to assemble your furniture yourself or have professionals take care of the assembly.

Furniture assembly with Taskrabbit

For many IKEA furniture, the assembly service is available to you via Taskrabbit. The assembly is carried out by experienced, self-employed Taskers who assemble your furniture directly at your home according to the respective IKEA assembly instructions.
The costs depend on the scope of the assembly and the type of furniture. The minimum assembly value is €39 including VAT. The final price may vary depending on the assembly time required and already includes the journey. You can see the exact price for your order directly in the shopping cart during the ordering process. Payment is made securely via the Taskrabbit platform.

For IKEA kitchens, we offer a professional complete assembly as an additional service. The available services and costs may vary depending on the kitchen planning and project scope. You will receive the exact conditions in the your kitchen planning or consulting.

Bath Installation Service

If you're planning a complete bathroom project, you can use the IKEA Bathroom Installation Service. This service includes not only the assembly of your bathroom furniture, but also the installation of the sink, mixer tap and siphon.
Bathroom furniture assembly with water connection is carried out via the bathroom installation service. The service includes the installation of IKEA bathroom furniture as well as the installation of washbasins, mixer taps and siphons. In addition, water inlets or siphons can be extended if necessary and the washbasin can be sealed with silicone. Optionally, a variant with disassembly and disposal of existing bathroom furniture and washbasins is available. Existing silicone joints are removed, drill holes are closed and the dismantled elements are disposed of properly. Other furniture can be installed within the same room in connection with bathroom assembly.
For pure bathroom furniture installations without water connections, alternatively Taskrabbit via the "Furniture Assembly" service.
Only IKEA bathroom furniture and IKEA mixer taps are installed. The installation of third-party goods as well as the installation of shower walls is excluded.
The prerequisite for the provision of services is that the necessary wall fastenings, water connections, drains and angle valves are available and accessible on site.
The service price includes the arrival of the installation team, required consumables such as silicone seals, the professional installation of the IKEA bathroom furniture, the connection of up to two IKEA mixer taps, the installation of the siphon and, if necessary, any necessary extensions of the water inlets. Finally, the washbasin is professionally sealed.
The price calculation is transparent: the basic flat rate is € 199. In addition, € 15 per running metre or part thereof of the total width of all installed bathroom furniture is charged. The basis for this is the entire width of the base and wall units as well as the corresponding mirrors.

Which mounting option is right for you?

For the assembly of individual pieces of furniture or complete living solutions, the Taskrabbit Assembly Service the right choice in most cases. If, on the other hand, you are planning a bathroom including the installation of sanitary products, the IKEA bathroom installation service is recommended.

Installation service for business customers

We offer special conditions for assembly services for companies. The costs are made up of a basic flat rate of € 59 and an additional 25% of the value of the furniture to be assembled.
