What should I do if my product is subject to recall?

If your IKEA product has been recalled, it should no longer be used. Visit your nearest IKEA store or contact IKEA customer service to return it and get a refund.

All IKEA products are thoroughly designed and tested to ensure customer safety and compliance with applicable standards and legislation. Despite these testing standards, there are rare occiasions when certain products need to be recalled due to a previously undetected safety concern.
As an IKEA Family member, you will be contacted by email when there is a recall for a product that you purchased using your IKEA Family card. You can also find an overview of all current product recalls on our website.
Please stop using an IKEA product that is subject to a recall immediately. If the affected product requires a power source, please disconnect it as an extra precaution.
Affected products can be returned to any IKEA store - and the purchase price will be refunded in full. Proof of purchase such as a receipt is not required.

Bring the product to an IKEA store 

Bring the product to your nearest IKEA store as soon as possible. Please note that you cannot return products in planning studios or pick up points. At the store, please contact customer service - the customer service desk is usually located near the exit.
