What happens if my furniture item does not match the description?

Learn what happens through the IKEA Second Life service if a used furniture item does not match the provided description.

If a furniture item does not match the description, we may either adjust the price or decline the buy-back.
Our co-workers inspect the actual condition of the furniture item when it is returned.

WHAT CAN LEAD TO AN ADJUSTMENT?

The buy-back price may be adjusted if:
✓ the condition is worse than described
✓ parts are missing
✓ there are heavy signs of wear
✓ the furniture item is damaged
✓ the product is not fully assembled

WHEN CAN THE BUY-BACK BE DECLINED?

A buy-back may be declined if the furniture item does not meet the IKEA Second Life requirements.
Examples include:
✗ incomplete products
✗ heavily damaged furniture items
✗ unsuitable or modified products

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

To ensure that the evaluation runs as smoothly as possible, you should describe the condition of your piece of furniture as precisely as possible.

GOOD TO KNOW
