Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, ergonomic, and stylish! I love this Chair! I work from home and spend 8-10 hours in it per day. My back doesn’t hurt and I love that I can lean my head back. It also looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 15 years of searching, finally found The One I spend a LOT of time in a chair. 80% of my waking hours, easy. My work demands it, many of my hobbies require it, and as luck would have it, I also have a weak lower back with previous injuries and it's easy for me to also acquire neck problems. Every year I would buy a new office chair in the hopes that I would at least IMPROVE on my previous year's choice - I'd pretty much given up on finding perfection without being willing to pay for a chair that cost as much as my computer. But then I found this gem, and even after 3 months of sitting in it, I have had NO back or neck problems AT ALL (usually I find new pain points by the 3 week mark, just because I have to sit so much). Now, I'm not going to say it's an automatic panacea for everyone, everyone's physiology is different, but at least for me it's corrected everything I could have asked for and is well worth the $200. I loved it so much that I bought TWO of them (the rationale was that I should get one for both my office and my bedroom, but to be honest, the paranoid in me said I should get a backup just in case this chair ever became discontinued). I'm just so happy to not have to keep throwing away $100-$200 every year on Office Depot or Staples chairs that inevitably result in back problems or to have the debate once again with myself whether it's worth splurging $600-$1000 on one of those executive transformer chairs when I don't even know if they'll fix my issues without having to commit to shipping and potential restock fees. If you're the type to want a pillowy cloud-like sitting experience ... maybe this isn't for you. The cushion is a little on the firm side but I find this actually feels really good as it provides support without losing shape over time and yet isn't so hard as to make my posterior numb. To me, it's quite comfy. The webbing shape is perfect for the support my back needs from tailbone to neck - I'm 5'6", so keep in mind that people who are much shorter or much taller may find some issues. But just go to an Ikea and try it out. It's got a lock for the back angle, but I find I like to keep it unlocked. I have to work a bit in order to push it back, but this is actually quite comfy because I can intentionally lean back for a good stretch and rest a bit at an incline, but then pop right back upright to keep working. There's enough resistance that I don't ever feel like I'll unintentionally fall back; it's always a very deliberate lean I have to do. I find it a little oddly tall - even when the seat is at its lowest height, my heels don't quite make it to the ground. But I'm okay with that, since I usually prefer to use a stool as a footrest anyway. But if you end up having a low desk or maybe have a keyboard tray under your desk, you may need to measure to make sure you have enough clearance beneath once you're seated. Putting it together was very straightforward and the construction seems solid. My only note is that you'll want to be careful not to throw out your back in trying to put the chair on its roller base. It's not the heaviest chair I've put together but it sure isn't the lightest either.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Odd proportions I bought this to replace a 15+ year creeky old office chair. Unfortunately I don't think I'm happy with it. First impressions are that the proportions don't make any sense, and the seat cushion is noticeably more rigid and less comfortable than my old chair. As other reviewers have mentioned, the armrests are at a fixed height and completely useless for taller people. At a normal desk sitting position, my arms are unable to touch the armrests at all. The cushion depth is rather short, so my legs hang way off the front with about 5" to spare. In stark contrast to this, the seat back seems to be made for tall people - it's at a comfortable enough height to support my head, which is surprising considering the very short arm rest height and cushion dimensions. The wheel casters use a nonstandard pin size of 10mm, while literally all other office chairs on the market use a standard 11mm caster pin. This seems to be an Ikea-only thing. So my nearly brand-new hardwood floor casters are not compatible with this chair. Another complaint is the lean-back locking mechanism gets stuck in the locked position, and it often takes some fiddling and quite a bit of force to get it to unlock so that you can lean back in the chair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Holding Up Well Bought a dark gray one for my son for graduation almost 2 yrs ago. He is very happy with it, it gets ALOT of use and is still in excellent shape. My daughter then bought herself the beige one a year ago. It also gets used alot and she also is very happy. Now my other son also has a dark gray one because he liked his siblings' so much. They are all three quite tall and this chair fits them very well. I am average height and I also find them comfortable when I manage to sneak a sit.
