Perfect solution for a tv unit from Ikea.HazelI have a tv unit from Ikea that I purchased 6 years ago. It continues to work for me but now I have 2 cats and I don't like having to dust too often. Although these doors will hide whats in there, I don't mind. Now on the performance of these doors: I was not expecting to have to screw these to the tv unit while mounting the door hinges-per instructions but there is no other way to stabilize the door. At least I didn't need to use too much force or a drill. About sizing: I will need 8 to cover all the cabis; I only got two because I wanted to make sure they would fit. There may be a slight difference in measures because the second door does not aligned exactly like the first one, but is not a big gap or that noticible. I recently put together a Brimmes cabi and I was frustrated with the hinges. Now with these, I am a pro at adjusting the screws to move the doors to the side or up and down as needed.This was a perfect and cost efficient solution. I love Ikea!
very poor designRuthI do tons of DIY and furniture assembly but these were terrible to install. Two screws that were partially pre-installed and needed to be tightened would absolutely not go in further. I had to take them out of the cube, put them on the floor and use all my bodyweight on top of the screwdriver to get them to turn. Doors also don't align well even with all adjustments. Sadly not up to IKEA standards.

Great insert, hard to make door exactly flushWilliamCouldn't adjust the door to be exactly flush, think there was some slight bowing going on with the shelf itself that made it an odd fit.
Better Quality Hardware NeededAlfredI was use to the Besta hinges. The Kallax hinges adjust the same and function the same. The Kallax hinges are mor difficult to adjust and far lighter in manufacturing than the Besta hinges. Otherwise the door unit performs the task admirably.
Kallax DoorsGraceDoors take awhile to match up for alignment. Doors look great once assembled but wasn’t aligned perfectly for all 8 doors.
Door inserts.LindaThese doors fit so well and really give the Kallax units a finished look. They hide what is stored which keeps the unit looking neat. Easy to insert and fasten. They hold up really well just as all the Kallax furniture does. Highly recommend these.
Just About The Worst...Kenpiece of garbage i've ever bought at Ikea. i bought four of them because i have pullouts that are half way decent. these.... are GARBAGE. Doing line up no matter how you work them. they were supposed to make it look cleaner. instead these just make the units look cheap just like most things ikea sells

not worth the trouble to assembleKarenBecause these are inserts, they have sides inside the box space. They are thin, so they do not reduce the storage space by much, but since they are thin, they are a bit flimsy and can be damaged. They are somewhat fussy to put together. They would be worthwhile for someone concerned about appearance - i.e., covering the appearance of what is stored inside; and they do look nice once finished, but not worth it for me.

Smells, difficult to install, doesn't alignKellieIt has taken three weeks for the unpleasant odor to dissipate from the materials used. When installed the door panel doesn't sit flush against the shelving unit. And now I'm not sure what to do because the entire Kallax bookcase itself is assembled which is great... but all the other insert styles don't have the same clean aesthetic.
Not a fair reviewTheresaI cannot fairly rate the inserts because I returned it! I didn’t buy the actual cube unit it fits! I had a different cube unit for some years that I wanted to put doors on. Unfortunately the drawer inserts were too big for my current cubbie unit. So therefore I returned them.

KALLAX Insert with door, whiteHeleneNot too please with this item. At first it seems to be fine, building it was fairly easy but 2 months later the door is falling apart and needs constant adapting/fixing. Not what I had in mind
Love the look, it’s not 13”x13”, hard to install PamI got a few of these and the pink wave doors. There’s no inside dimensions on the website so it does make the inside smaller. Now, the screws. You have to push really hard while holding the edge against the side of the Kallax to get the screw to go in. Otherwise, the edge of the insert rides up the screw and it won’t go into the Kallax flush. Adjusting the hinges is equally hard so be prepared for an imperfect fit. This drives me nuts but it is what it is.

As Pictured & It Completes The LookMicheleThe color black/brown was a perfect match for my unit. The insert with doors made the entire unit clean and polished looking. The doors open and close very easily. The assembly wasn't as easy as I expected. It requires some force because I did not have predrilled holes in my unit.
