yellows over timeAnonymousThis tape works well as an alternative to sewing the hem, but I used this on translucent white curtains and now the hem is yellow, after 5 years. I also used it on black-out curtains, which are opaque, so it doesn't show through. Another thing to note about using iron hem tape, it stiffens the hem a bit more than sewing them would, so they hang a little differently. Still, its so much easier to iron hem than sewing.

The curtains description is purposely misleading "Use SY iron-on hemming strip to shorten the curtains without sewing." But does not state "not-included", when it definitely should since they used to be included. How is Ikea even a value anymore?

Works but needs better directionLizaHow high to heat the iron? Does pressing mean moving the iron or keeping it still? The cloth I used on top never actually dried but the tape stuck.

Useful, easy fixMarinaI needed this to shorten curtains from Ikea. Didn't realize I would need a damp cloth to use it (this is different from other non-ikea hemming tape I've used). So far so good, but I have only just used it. We'll see how it holds up after some time has passed and/ or I wash the drapes.
