Chip in bowlTinaI purchased this thinking was 100% stainless steel. After using it a few times to mix my sourdough bread, I noticed a chip in the inside of the bowl. It appears to be a layer that chipped off as if it's coated and not solid stainless steel. I have so many stainless steel pots, pans, bowls, measuring cups, etc. and none of them have chips and they are years old. My ice cream scooper that I don't use after finding out it's not stainless but zinc coated looks like this bowl after it chipped. I have very sad about this and have to make a 3 hour trip one way to return it but I just can't do it right now. 2
Love this bowl!SarahI love these bowls so much! Perfect for about anything but I love to use them to make a big salad! Perfection!!5
Toddler bowlTorrieI love this for my toddler. It is perfect size, sturdy, and easy to clean. Trying to get away from plastic and not ready for glass/ceramic yet. Definitely recommend!5

Disappointed with quality – leaves black residue even after cleaningMiaI purchased several products of this stainless steel series, but I'm kind of disappointed. Even after soaking in vinegar, scrubbing with hot soapy water, and drying thoroughly, they still leave a black smudgy residue when I wipe them with a paper towel.
I wonder if it’s made from lower-grade stainless steel. A magnet sticks to it easily. That might explain the residue, but it’s not something I expected from IKEA. I don’t feel comfortable using these with food if they keep shedding unknown black material.
It’s brand new, and I shouldn't have to deep-clean a bowl multiple times just to make it usable. Might be a manufacturing issue, but I wouldn’t recommend this product unless the quality improves. Or someone tells me what happened?1

Not the original Blanda bowlsKathleenI have several Blanda bowls from years past that were made in Vietnam, don't have a visible lip on the outside top of the bowl, and have performed like champs. The new version (at least the 8" bowl) has the lip (which seems like an entirely different design to me -- they don't match the old ones, and should not be called Blanda), was made in China, and as some other users have reported, developed weird worn patches on the interior, as if it's steel coated plastic rather than solid stainless steel, or maybe an inferior metal. It's disturbing. I wonder what has ended up in my food. I wish I could post a picture.
These bowls are cheap -- if Ikea had to raise the price by a dollar each to maintain the quality, I would be perfectly fine with that. But I cannot recommend the current implementation at all. 1
Chipped after a few monthsAnonymous reviewerBought several of the BLANDA bowls in different sizes. A few months most of them have chipped in the interior and don't seem safe to use anymore.1
Popcorn and moreJulieWe purchased four of these. We enjoy popcorn on a weekly basis and the bowls that we were using had rims that were impractical for the dishwasher. My husband saw these and thought they would be great for popcorn. I was concerned that they may not look very nice after running through the dishwasher, but so far so good. I am also going to use them to hold chips, etc. for our larger gatherings.5
Blanda Blank BowlAndreaThese are my favorite bowls anywhere! I have several of them in different sizes and use them on a daily basis. 5

Favorite Bread Dough Bowl!JillThis bowl is awesome. It’s the perfect size for proofing my bread dough. I own three of them now! They’ll prove to be versatile for other uses too. 5
Perfect mise en place bowlVincentPerfect little bowls for ingredients while cooking. They stack nicely, clean with a quick wipe, are stainless, and match my bigger bread bowls.5

Simplicity!WayneThe very basic and useful metal bowl. Resilient with a 101 kitchen uses. Though, don't try to pop popcorn in this on the stovetop--it scorches and stains!5
