A durable box that handles even the heavy loads. Leave it as it is or treat it with oil, wax or your favorite color. Looks great in the living room or the garage and is a perfect match with IVAR storage.

Great storageCourtneyThis was easy to put together and is great storage. I think it looks really good on Ivar shelves.5
Trust the one star ratingsAllenI have no idea how the manufacturer screwed this one so bad (pun intended). Not only are the holes not drilled through, making this impossible to attempt without a drill, but everything is misaligned from the jump, making the markings impossible to put screws into (they aligned sometimes perfectly with the nails already in the wood, you can see why that would be a problem.) The product was already so flawed before I even began to try to assemble- plus the screws, like all of ikeas' lately, start to disintegrate the moment you put any pressure on them and metal dust gets everywhere. Worst experience of my life probably.1
Needs workCharlesNot all holes were aligned or even existed, had to drill some myself4
Bring back the old styleLorreneI have several of these from years before so I was surprised when I bought 2 more and they were so difficult to put together compared to earlier versions.2
Good boxLinda RThe long screws were hard to screw in . Had to use my own4

I normally like assembling Ikea stuff...JessicaToo much effort for just a box. Drilled holes for screws are off and aligning the panels so it looks good and doesn't bother you later is impossible1
Should use nails instead of screws JamaThe moment you mess up one screw just give up and return it. This thing is awful to assemble.1
Need to return EmilyI don’t know why I didn’t read the reviews before I buy because I always do! Maybe I trusted IKEA too much but this is a weird box that can never be aligned which is so important to me. I purchased 5 of them but giving up after two. Can I still return all of it?1
so many screwsVichetso many screws which make it hard to align all corner square2
Couldn’t assembleJuliThe 1st 3 screws went in fine by hand but could not get the 4th in, not even with power drill..had it delivered..pain to return unusable product..get it together ikea, I see I’m not alone1
Absolute trashSharon EI purchased two of these boxes in the Pittsburgh store because the display models seemed good. I managed to get the first box put together, but after destroying my hands in the process of putting in all the screws. The small screws that hold on the short-side panels are *extremely* poor quality, and the phillips-head slots were destroyed by the slightest amount of torque. I used nails to create pilot holes, and then had to substitute nails for several of the screws. I just started putting together the second box, and I cannot even get the long-side panels fully installed. These are the most poorly-designed "assemble yourself" items I have ever purchased from IKEA. I am going to throw out the second box, and will hopefully get *some* use out of the first one. Not optimistic. I don't see how this product could have passed even the most minimal quality control review.1
Misaligned—cannot assembleCarolineI trusted all the positive reviews but can't fathom where they're coming from. The holes are so badly misaligned that proper assembly is impossible. We've been at it an hour. A screwdriver wouldn't work. We got out our drill and still couldn't make it work. The screw started to get stripped. We managed to assemble two sides but they're crooked, and we cannot assemble further. This product is unusable. I want my money back.1
PoorJackPoor fit, poor finish, poor tolerances, poor product2
The designer should be ashamedShawThis is by far the worst, the most anti-human, the most terrible IKEA product I’ve ever bought. It has no fool-proofing design. The way-too-long screws are so easily sidelined to make the product entirely useless if you messed with one of them, it’s simply impossible to remove it and screw it in at the correct angle. The small screws are so useless the pre drilled small holes for the side plates are simply useless. EVERY HOLE in this product is impossible to align at the right angle. The designer and product manager of this product must hate their customers or simply drunk when they make this horrible product.1
Don’t Do It!!RyanI’ve had IKEA furniture for three decades. It generally does the job. These things are the work of the devil. Pre-drilled holes do not line up and occasionally do not exit. Just a terrible experience1
Assembly is a nightmareCatherineIf you don’t have a drill do not purchase. If you have a drill, be prepared for terrible screws that strip and wood that does not have placement holes. Terrible construction.1
wrist injury from assembling two small boxesDayaThe woodeen pieces are sloppy and misaligned. The screw holes are misaligned. The screws are lightweight crap that strip and bend easily. It took me more than 2 hours to assemble two of these using brute force and eventually swapping some of the longest screws for shorter ones as they were imposssible to get all the way in. Now I have tendonitis in my wrist from stubbornly persisting with the screwdriver on this impossible assembly project (never happened to me before and I have assembed lots of furniture for decades). A week later my wrist is still in pain. The boxes are handy on my pantry shelves but the wood pieces are crooked and look cheap with mismatched screws. An utter Ikea disaster.1
Nice boxMaryThis is a nice box, however the hardware is not the quality as it was in the past.3
TIPS FOR ASSEMBLYGabrielleThis may have gotten a better review from me if there were better instructions or accurate holes for the screws! But there’s not. There are holes where you’d expect the screws to go into with ease, but you actually have to slowly and forcefully hand drill the screws in by yourself while also holding the parts to maintain the correct positioning -I spent almost two hours figuring this out as I had to screw and re-screw multiple times for them to fit. And for the small screws- THOSE ARE NOT HOLES, they are merely a suggestion, or general idea of where they should go. Don’t try to follow it. What you really need to do is hold it aligned with the side panels and screw it -again forcefully by hand. If I knew these things beforehand; I would have had such a better time. Good luck to anyone putting this together… and wish me luck with the 2nd one tomorrow!2
