Assembly for private customers

All IKEA products are designed so that you can assemble them yourself, but you don't have to! Book assembly at a fixed price through our external partner Hemfixarna Nordic AB. You choose what you want assembled and receive a fixed price immediately.

It is also possible to choose evenings and weekends for assembly assistance.

How the assembly service works | What is included/not included | Good to know

When you shop online, you can book assembly directly in the shopping cart in connection with your purchase. There you can choose a preliminary date for assembly that suits you after the planned delivery. If you want to book assembly after your purchase, you can either visit us in the store, contact IKEA Customer Service or visit the Hemfixarna Nordic AB website.

How the assembly service works

Add the products you want to buy to your shopping cart on IKEA.se, where you have the opportunity to book assembly directly in connection with your purchase. If you shop in the department store, you can speak to an employee to book assembly, or visit Hemfixarna Nordic AB website.
Once you have booked the installation and chosen a preliminary date for the home visit, Hemfixarna Nordic AB will contact you to determine the exact date and time for the installation, which will suit both you and them.
Hemfixarna Nordic AB visits you and assembles the products according to the assembly instructions.
After the work is completed, you will receive an invoice with a 50% RUT deduction if you are eligible, according to the fixed price package you have chosen. You can also choose to pay with Swish if you wish.

The assignment is always carried out with a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If you want to complain, you can post your complaint for the installation here.

What is included in the assembly service and what do I as a customer need to prepare?

Please note that all of your products that need to be assembled must be in place before our partner arrives. If parts are missing, the assignment will be canceled, and Hemfixarna Nordic AB will charge a cancellation fee.

Remember to prepare the surface for assembly so that it can be done without obstacles.

Leave your unassembled products in the original packaging. Then place the packages in the room where you want the fully assembled product to be.

Wall anchoring if necessary
Textile ironing is not included when assembling furniture with fabric, such as sofas, armchairs and curtains.

The assembly does not include electrical work and plumbing. Hemfixarna Nordic AB can often help with electrical work and plumbing upon request, but then there is an additional fee.

Packaging recycling is not included. If you wish to have packaging removed, this can be ordered in connection with the Hemfixarna Nordic AB booking call for a fixed price.

Good to know

The service is RUT-eligible, which means that you can get a 50% RUT deduction on the labor cost. You can read more about the rules and conditions for RUT deductions on the Skatteverkets website.
The installation service is available throughout Sweden. If you live in a location that is only accessible by road ferry, a ferry fee of SEK 2000 may apply. You will be informed of this in this case in dialogue with our service partner.
Payment for the installation is always made directly to Hemfixarna Nordic AB, after the assignment has been completed. You can choose to pay by invoice or Swish.
Sometimes, as a private customer, you may need to help with bulky furniture in short, individual work sessions.
