Can I get a measurement service for a custom worktop?
Our worktops in quartz composite, high-pressure porcelain and glass composite include a measurement service in the mandatory service fee. We do not offer a measurement service for laminate or thick veneer custom worktops.
If you are unsure how to measure for a custom worktop in laminate or thick veneer, here are some tips:
- Measure the length - Use a laser measure or ruler and measure from one end of the cabinets to the other.
Do you have a corner solution? Measure both sides separately. - Measure the depth - The standard depth for IKEA worktops for METOD frames is 635 mm.
If you have other base cabinets that are not from IKEA, we recommend that you measure your existing worktop or indicate the total depth of the cabinet frame, including the front. - Measure any cuts - Do you have a sink, hob or other equipment that requires a cut-out or milling?
Measure exactly where these will be placed and note the CC measurements, the dimensions of the cut-out and any corner radius. - Control angles - If your kitchen has slanted walls or corners, use a protractor or laser measure to ensure that the worktop fits perfectly.
- Double-check the dimensions - Always measure twice to avoid errors.
