Can I place PLATSA frames of different widths on top of each other?
It is not possible to install PLATSA frames of different widths on top of each other.
Safety is of utmost importance to us at IKEA, and therefore many of our products need to be wall anchored. The fixing brackets supplied with PLATSA frames must be fixed at all four fixing points, and this cannot be done if PLATSA frames of different sizes are placed on top of each other.

PLATSA assembly is possible to do solo, but we recommend teaming up for a smoother and safer experience. Tasks like moving a frame from one place to another, marking the wall frame positions, or placing the PLATSA frame on top of another are much easier and safer with two people.
