Can I raise my dishwasher from IKEA?
We do not recommend placing a dishwasher on top of an IKEA cabinet. Placing a dishwasher on top of an IKEA cabinet may seem like a space-saving and ergonomic solution, but it's important to consider safety. METOD cabinets are not designed or tested to support a dishwasher, there is a risk of damage to both the appliance, the cabinets and the surroundings.
Our dishwashers are designed to be placed on the floor, between two cabinets. We do not recommend placing a dishwasher on top of an IKEA cabinet. Dishwashers are heavy and our METOD cabinet frames are not designed, tested or approved to carry that type of load.
In addition, there is a requirement that an approved floor protector must be placed under dishwashers, which is not possible to achieve if the machine is placed on top of an cabinet.
Such an installation affects both the safety and durability and means that the guarantee on both the frames and the appliance no longer applies.
