Dishwashers can be constructed in different ways. Some models have a built-in function that allows multiple fronts to be mounted, while others lack this function and need special fittings.

How do I mount an IKEA front on my dishwasher that I didn't buy at IKEA?
If you want to install a single IKEA door on a dishwasher from another manufacturer, this can usually be done without any additional fittings. However, if you plan to install split fronts - meaning several doors or drawer fronts - on your integrated dishwasher, an extra fitting may be required.
- Different manufacturers and models require different fittings and solutions. It is therefore important that you always check with them what applies to your particular dishwasher.
- IKEA has a fitting called BEHJÄLPLIG and is adapted to install one or more fronts on dishwashers without sliding hinges. It has only been tested for our own IKEA dishwashers and not those of other retailers.
- It is important to know that: BEHJÄLPLIG is not compatible with the WAVY coupling rail.
- To be sure that the fitting can work with your dishwasher, it is recommended that you talk to the retailer or manufacturer of your particular appliance.
- You should avoid installing BEHJÄLPLIG on dishwashers that have sliding hinges, i.e. a built-in sliding function for the door, as complications and overloading can occur otherwise.
