What is IKEA's exchange and return policy for mattresses?
It's important to IKEA that you're happy with your new mattress. If you discover within 90 that the mattress is too hard, too soft or just feels wrong, you can take it back and exchange it for another one.
Be aware that a new mattress may seem a little too hard at first. You should give your body at least one month to get used to the mattress – and the mattress time to get used to your body. To achieve the best possible comfort, you also need a pillow that fits. Make sure you have a pillow that fits both you and your new mattress.
You can exchange your mattress within 90 days of purchase if you change your mind, using our Comfort guarantee Provided it is not dirty, marked or damaged, the warranty does not apply to children's mattresses, sofa bed mattresses and mattress toppers when purchased separately. You can simply take the mattress back to an IKEA store along with your receipt to choose a different mattress or get a gift card/voucher equal to the purchase price.
If you want to upgrade your mattress, you only need to pay the difference between the original purchase and the desired replacement.
If the new mattress has a lower price, IKEA will credit the difference in the form of a gift card that you can use for a future purchase.
