Terms and Conditions of the Interior Design Planning and Design Service
Ikano Retail México, S.A. de C.V. (hereinafter "IKEA Mexico"), with address at Calle Oriente 158, número 440, Piso 3, Local JD-01, Colonia Moctezuma, Segunda Sección, Alcaldía Venustiano Carranza, C.P. 15500, Ciudad de México, is the company that provides closet, kitchen, bathroom and television furniture planning services in IKEA Mexico's physical stores located in the United Mexican States (the "Stores") and online ("Planning Service and Interior Design Service as detailed below").
The Consumer declares that he/she is over 18 years of age and has sufficient legal capacity in Mexican territory to enter into and abide by these Terms and Conditions.
The Consumer undertakes to provide truthful information about the data requested for the provision of the Planning Service and to keep them updated.
IKEA Mexico reserves the right to change or modify these Terms and Conditions, any policies related to the Planning Services and Interior Design Services, without prior notice, at any time, in its sole discretion and without notice. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on https://www.ikea.com/mx (the "Website"), and you hereby waive any right to receive notice of such changes or modifications by any means.
By making the corresponding payment and/or scheduling the corresponding appointment, the Consumer declares that he/she has read, understands and accepts these terms and conditions of sale and installation of Bathrooms (sinks, faucets, showers and bathroom accessories sold by IKEA Mexico ("Bathrooms")) and its Related Services, which shall have been purchased at IKEA Mexico Stores or remotely.
The provision of the corresponding Service is subject to be provided according to the availability of the same before, during and after the purchase.
The Planning Service includes:
- A basic planning, which will only capture in a general way the idea of the Consumer and the Planner, without going into details of color range, textures, among others.
- Such planning will be done only with the IKEA Mexico planning tool available at IKEA.mx and with the capabilities it has.
- It will have a duration of 30 to 60 minutes1
- Quotation detailing the IKEA Mexico products and services offered by IKEA Mexico that may be required.
- The result of the IKEA.mx planning tool, worked on by the Consumer and the Planner during the appointment, is shared with the Consumer.

The Consumer must schedule an appointment either for the service to be provided in the Stores or online through the Website.
The Planning Service is free of charge.

The Planning Service will be provided in the following modalities:
1. In-store planning service
The Consumer shall:
- It must be presented at the corresponding store on the date and time chosen by the customer1
- The appointment will last a maximum of 60 minutes, health protocols permitting2.
- After 10 minutes of your appointment time without the Consumer showing up, the appointment will be cancelled and the Consumer will have to schedule another appointment.
- Complete the survey that corresponds to the area of the Planning Service selected by the Consumer and should be emailed to contactoplaneació[email protected], and to the Planner via email at the addresses provided by the Planner at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. The Closet Planning Survey, Kitchen Planning Survey, Bathroom Planning Survey and TV Furniture Planning Survey are located on the Website.
- At the end of the appointment, the Consumer will receive a satisfaction survey.

2. Online Planning Service
The Consumer will receive an e-mail from the IKEA Mexico Planner with the link to which he/she must connect to make his/her appointment.
The application through which the virtual appointment will be developed is owned by third parties, so the Consumer must follow the instructions and terms and conditions of such third party for the use of the application, the Consumer releases IKEA Mexico from any liability with respect to such application.
The Consumer shall:
- You must connect to the link provided by IKEA Mexico on the date and time chosen by IKEA Mexico.
- The virtual appointment will last a maximum of 60 minutes, will be audio only, NO video. In addition, the virtual appointment will be recorded by IKEA Mexico for quality purposes.
- After 10 minutes of your appointment time without the Consumer showing up, the appointment will be cancelled and the Consumer will have to schedule another appointment.
- Complete the survey that corresponds to the area of the Planning Service selected by the Consumer and should be emailed to contactoplaneació[email protected] and sent to the Planner via email at the addresses provided by the Planner at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. The Closet Planning Survey, Kitchen Planning Survey, Bathroom Planning Survey and TV Furniture Planning Survey are located on the Website.
- At the end of the appointment, the Consumer will receive a satisfaction survey.
During your appointment (whether virtual or in-store) the Planner will ask a series of questions solely for the purpose of providing the Planning Service. It is the Consumer's responsibility to provide the most detailed and truthful information about the space to be planned.
As part of the Renderings, the Planner will only reference products and/or services offered by IKEA Mexico. The presentation of the Renderings in no way assures the availability of the IKEA Mexico products presented. If the Consumer wishes to purchase any of the IKEA Mexico services shown by the Planner in the Renderings, the Consumer acknowledges and agrees that he/she will be subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable service as published on the Web Site.
IKEA Mexico in no way guarantees the results of the Planning Service ("Renders"), these are only orientative for the Consumer.
The Planner Service in no way obligates the Consumer to purchase any of the product(s) and/or services offered by IKEA Mexico and shown by the Planner as part of the Renderings.
At the end of the appointment, the Planner will share with the Consumer a quote and the terms and conditions applicable to the services offered by IKEA Mexico, if the Consumer wishes to purchase the products and/or services shown by the Planner in the Renderings contained in the IKEA Mexico quote, he/she must confirm it to the Planner and the Planner will deliver to the Consumer a Purchase Order for the products and/or services in question according to the process indicated in:
- Terms and conditions of sale and bathroom installation service.
- Terms and conditions of sale and installation service of SEKTION kitchens, KNOXHULT.
- Terms and conditions of sale and installation service for "KASKER and SKARARP, tiles on request".
If none of the above terms and conditions apply, the Glider will issue the Purchase Order in question, which may be paid at the Store or through a secure payment link provided by the Glider. Said Purchase Order must be paid by the Consumer on the same day it was issued, within the Store's opening hours to the public, even in the case of the payment link, if your payment link expires, please request a new one to the Glider that is serving you.
The Quotations do not guarantee the availability of the products mentioned in it, only the Purchase Orders guarantee the availability of the products, during the same day it was issued and until the closing time to the public of the Store4. If the Purchase Order is not paid within such period, IKEA Mexico will not ensure the availability of the products and/or services indicated in the Purchase Order, so the Consumer shall release IKEA Mexico from any liability in this regard.

The Consumer shall only have the right to reschedule his/her appointment at least 24 hours prior to the date and time of his/her appointment. In no event will a refund of any amount paid by the Consumer for the appointment be made.
Interior Design Services include:
- Detailed planning, including color palette, textures, trend recommendations, among others.
- Such planning will be done with 3D design software, i.e. the IKEA Mexico planning tool available on the Web Site will not be used.
- It will have a duration of 120 minutes1
- There will be a fee that must be paid prior to the appointment.
- Quotation detailing the IKEA Mexico products and services offered by IKEA Mexico that may be required.
- The result of the IKEA.mx planning tool, worked on by the Consumer and the Planner during the appointment, is shared with the Consumer.

The Consumer should send an email to [email protected] to request information about this Interior Design Service and be provided with the cost of the Interior Design Service. If accepted by the Consumer, the details of the service and the cost thereof, the Planner will provide the Consumer with a Purchase Order for the Interior Design Service, which can be paid in Store or through a secure payment link provided by the Planner. Said Purchase Order must be paid for by the Consumer on the same day it was issued, within the Store's opening hours, even in the case of the payment link, if your payment link expires, please request a new one from the Planner who is assisting you.
The Consumer will confirm the payment to the Glider by e-mail to the addresses provided by the Glider, including the e-mail [email protected], the Glider will send the Consumer the link for the virtual appointment and will confirm the date and time of the appointment as indicated by the Consumer, the Consumer will only have 10 minutes of tolerance to join the virtual appointment, if the Consumer does not show up the appointment will be considered as given and no refund of any amount paid by the Consumer will be made.

The Interior Design Service will be provided in the following modalities:

The Closet Planning Survey, Kitchen Planning Survey, Bathroom Planning Survey and TV Furniture Planning Survey are located on the Website.
- At the end of the appointment, the Consumer will receive a satisfaction survey.

2. Online Interior Design Service
The Consumer will receive an e-mail from the IKEA Mexico Planner with the link to which he/she must connect to make his/her appointment.

If the Consumer wishes to purchase any of the IKEA Mexico services shown by the Planner in the Renderings, the Consumer acknowledges and agrees that he/she will be subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable service as published on the Web Site.

At the end of the appointment, the Planner will share with the Consumer a quotation and the terms and conditions applicable to the services offered by IKEA Mexico, if the Consumer wishes to purchase the IKEA Mexico products and/or services shown by the Planner in the Renderings contained in the quotation, the Consumer must confirm it to the Planner and the Planner will deliver to the Consumer a Purchase Order for the products and/or services in question according to the process indicated in:
- Terms and conditions of sale and bathroom installation service.
- Terms and conditions of sale and installation service of SEKTION kitchens, KNOXHULT.
- Terms and conditions of sale and installation service for "KASKER and SKARARP, tiles on request".
If none of the above terms and conditions apply, the Glider will issue the Purchase Order in question, which may be paid at the Store or through a secure payment link provided by the Glider. Said Purchase Order must be paid by the Consumer on the same day it was issued, within the Store's opening hours to the public, even in the case of the payment link, if your payment link expires, please request a new one to the Glider that is serving you.
The Quotations do not guarantee the availability of the products mentioned in it, only the Purchase Orders guarantee the availability of the products, during the same day it was issued and until the closing time to the public of the Store4. If the Purchase Order is not paid within such period, IKEA Mexico will not ensure the availability of the products and/or services indicated in the Purchase Order, so the Consumer shall release IKEA Mexico from any liability in this regard.

The Consumer shall only have the right to reschedule his/her appointment at least 24 hours prior to the date and time of his/her appointment. In no event will a refund of any amount paid by the Consumer for the appointment be made.
Under no circumstances will any costs paid by the Consumer for the Interior Design Service appointment be refunded. Rescheduling of appointments will only proceed 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment, in which case the Consumer will contact the Planner by email to the addresses provided by the Planner, including [email protected], the Planner will notify the date and time of the new appointment.
In any case, you may communicate with the Glider by e-mail to the addresses provided by the Glider, including [email protected], or alternatively with the Customer Service Center so that they can support you if possible.
Important: applicable rescheduling may not exceed 60 calendar days from the date of payment of the Interior Design Service appointment. If this period is exceeded, the Consumer must pay the applicable cost adjustment, which will be communicated to the Consumer by Planeador or the Customer Service Center, or otherwise, IKEA Mexico will proceed with the cancellation and the appointment will be deemed to have been provided.
Payment for applicable IKEA Mexico products and/or services will be made in the following manner.The price of each of the services mentioned here, as well as of the extra items, will be published in IKEA Mexico Stores and may be consulted at the Customer Service Center.
The Consumer shall pay the amount contained in the Purchase Order, such payment shall be in full and may be made in:
- IKEA Mexico Stores: at the checkout area of IKEA Mexico Stores during the hours they are open to the public, using the payment methods supported by IKEA Mexico at those locations. Through a secure payment link. This payment link accepts the following payment methods: a) Debit card and b) Credit card. Purchases may only be made with cards issued in the United Mexican States.
- Secure Payment Link: The payment link is administered by Adyen Mexico, S.A. de C.V., therefore, IKEA Mexico does not store, process, share or transfer Consumer banking information. IKEA Mexico has entered into an agreement with Adyen Mexico, S.A. de C.V., in which it has agreed that it will implement best practices and measures to protect Consumer information; however, IKEA Mexico encourages Consumers to make good use of their confidential information, and if there are any questions about the security of the payment gateway, they may direct their questions to the IKEA Mexico Customer Service Center. IKEA Mexico will not be responsible for any failure of the payment gateway.

IKEA Mexico is responsible for collecting, storing, retaining, managing and deciding on the processing of Consumers' personal data, for which it makes available its Privacy Notice. IKEA Mexico asks its Consumers to review the Privacy Notice before providing their personal data.
The personal data provided will be used for the purposes of providing services, providing a better service to the Consumer, making quality evaluations, as well as providing promotional information from IKEA Mexico. IKEA Mexico's Privacy Notice can be consulted at: https://ikea.mx/
In case of any questions, requests, complaints and claims or on any point that is not included in these terms and conditions, the IKEA Mexico Customer Care Center may be consulted. The Consumer may contact the IKEA Mexico Customer Service Center through the following means:

As a result of the health emergency caused by COVID 19, IKEA Mexico will prioritize the attention to consumers through digital mechanisms previously established, so consumers are invited to use the email and phone number previously identified.
All notices, information or communications that IKEA Mexico intends to share with the Consumer will be made directly to the email and/or telephone number provided by the Consumer at the time of the transaction.
In the event of any dispute arising out of the application or interpretation of these terms and conditions, IKEA Mexico and the Consumer shall submit to the conciliation procedure of the competent Federal Consumer Protection Attorney's Office or to the jurisdiction of the courts of Mexico City, waiving any other jurisdiction, present or future, that may correspond to them due to their address or any other cause.
