Quietly stylish and a solid choiceLauraQuietly stylish. This lamp does not shout and looks solid, not rickety. The color is deep and complex and coordinates nicely with the blue-black items in the Ikea universe, as well as with a variety of wood tones. The shade is subdued in size and color. The shape and texture of the base is pleasing. I find myself wishing the base was slightly heavier weight, but functionally this has not caused any problems. The cord is cloth-covered, which is a very nice touch. Price is higher than expected, but the look is much better than Ikea-average, so I would pay the price again. Overall, well done, Ikea.
