Material
What is wool?
Wool is a practical natural material that usually comes from sheep. The raw wool is washed and then spun into yarn. Wool rugs have many advantages. They're soft, warm and comfortable to walk on, and they're also very hardwearing. They're stain-resistant too, because wool has it own natural oil. This means that dirt stays on the surface and doesn't penetrate into the rug. All wool rugs shed - some more, some less - vacuum them regularly to prevent the loose fibres from scattering.
Function solution
Rugs just as unique as your home
Our rugs are different, just like every home. Each one is handmade by skilled artisans using their special weaving technique where the natural materials with different textures, patterns and colours create an authentic feel. These are limited-edition rugs where the design and style are updated frequently. So choose the one that suits your home best and enjoy a unique work of art that can withstand wear and tear for many years.
Form design process
Made using the pit loom weaving technique
The pit loom, as the name suggests, is positioned over a pit, and the wooden frame is angled for horizontal weaving. The artisan sits underneath the frame, and controls it with foot pedals and their hands, crafting rugs with intricate patterns and designs. This setup enables working from both above and below the frame, achieving a very tight weave. Producing a rug with this technique takes about 2-3 days, resulting in a work of art that can add character to any home.

"Classic tartan checks inspired my pattern for PYSSLINGGRÄS wool rug, which is hand-woven with a flat-weave technique. Details like hand-stitched edges and different pile heights enhance the quality feel and add a rustic charm. On a large, completely covered surface, the design creates a room-in-the-room while the rug improves acoustics and adds a sense of warmth to your home."
