The casters of the swivel chair do not work, is this defective?
While sitting in the chair, try moving it forward, backward, left and right.
Here are a few simple checks to ensure you can enjoy your new office chair.
- Are the casters on correctly?
Double-check that each caster is pushed firmly into the base of the chair. You should feel it click securely into place. - Are you sitting all the way back?
For your safety, the casters have a pressure-sensitive brake that releases when you sit down. Make sure you're seated with your weight firmly on the chair to allow them to roll freely. - They might feel a bit stiff at first
The locks on new casters can be a little firm right after assembly. They'll loosen up and roll more smoothly with regular use, so no need to worry! - Are you using the right casters for your floor type?
Most of our chairs come with casters designed for soft floors, like carpets. If you have hard floors, such as wood or laminate, we recommend using our hard-floor casters (sold separately). They help protect your floor and ensure the chair rolls smoothly.
